Sanyo is best by far!
by karchj on July 13, 2009
Pros: I originally bought the Rant and got no reception. Bought the Sanyo SCP 2700 and it has been great. Texting in speed time w/ this qwerty keyboard. The conversation thread is very nice.
Cons: Would have like more variety of colors and accessories. The deep blue isn't as bright blue as the pictures show. Buy the screen stickers as the display will scratch easily. Display does not go to sleep when texting.
Summary: Nice to get away from the flip. Texting is made easy with this phone. Sanyo has much better quality signal no matter where you are!

THIS PHONE IS FANTASTIC! AND THE PRICE IS EVEN BETTER!
by KIMBERLYDALE2005 on May 13, 2009
Pros: KEY GUARD, RING TONES, NICE TO LOOK AT AND HOLD, TEXT MESSAGES FOLLOW A THREAD IN ONE CONVERSATON. NAVIGATION GREAT. GIVES MORE INFO THAN JUST DRIVING DIRECTION.
Cons: BATTERY LIFE MIGHT NOT BE THAT GREAT

Summary: purchased this phone from Sprint and I love it. It does not have Sprint TV, Sprint Radio nor does it support Pandora. If you can live without those, then it's very nice. You can access the internet, texting is very very easy, the Navigation is great! Not only doe sit give you directions, but it will give you address and phone numbers in 10 seconds. It has pleasant ring tones, feels nice in your hand, comfortable fit while using. Some will complain about the keys being small but I thought the same about the Blackberry. If the keys are bigger than you will have a bigger phone! I've had the Motorola Q (which was a mistake to purchase), Samsung Slider phone (which was a great buy for a small compact phone that did a lot) and my husband uses the Blackberry Curve 8330 which to me is a lot of hype because of the name Blackberry. So, with all that being said, I am satisfied with the phone. I would buy it again or for someone. Also, the price is fantastic!

Decent basic phone for voice/text..
by Nickwarhead on November 14, 2011
Pros: Great for calls and texting. Cam takes ok pics if there is enough light. Solid and Built really well. I've dropped it many times and its never cracked.
Cons: Not really for internet use. The screen is too small and navigation is too hard.
Summary: Good basic phone for basic functions and that's how it needs to be perceived. No Frills. I've had the phone for almost 3 years and have not had ...

Major flaw... can't hear it ring!!!
by KerryLotion on July 11, 2009
Pros: Camera works great, and this phone will actually call me to remind me of an impending appt... which leads to the problem... you won't HEAR the call come in...
Cons: The speaker placed on the back of the phone is so poor, I've never heard it ring.
Summary: I don't know what problem CNET found with the camera, it works great - takes as clear a picture as any of my other 1.3 MP phones prior. ...
Summary: I don't know what problem CNET found with the camera, it works great - takes as clear a picture as any of my other 1.3 MP phones prior.
BUT the speaker is GARBAGE. You can NOT hear it ring - the only speaker is on the back of the phone - and not only is it garbage but it's muffled by laying the phone down. I bought 2 ringers immediately after purchasing the phone - they sound AWFUL. Static is so bad, you can't make out the lyrics at all. And I haven't received one phone call that I answered from actually HEARING it ring.
In my purse or laying on the counter, the phone is useless. In my hand on vibrate, I can make AND receive calls.
Again, the camera works great (no vid tho). SPEAKER BLOWS.2 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

THE BEST PHONE I EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 STARS
by bushytail2 on May 14, 2013
Pros: I have never had a better phone than this one! Better than Smartphones!
Cons: It works well, and easy to use. Does most everything: Maps, Text, Calls, alarm clock, Web browser, and so much more!
Summary: I suggest you buy this phone and use it for MORE than 2 years. I have mine and it is about 5 years and still works perfectly. Get it and ...

Best phone I've ever had - and I washed it!
by caribchickie on May 25, 2011
Pros: I've never written a phone review. Phones come and go and I'm usually dying to get a new one every 2 years. I've had this phone for at least 2 years and I'm PRAYING it never breaks because I won't be able to stand any other phone. I once washed it in th
Cons: It took 3 whole days to dry out and work again after 15 minutes of submersion in soapy water? No seriously, this phone is amazing. I feel bad for the other reviewers who seem to have gotten a lemon.

Decent price poor performance
by Mirabeeth on March 28, 2011
Pros: Price was reasonable when I reneued my subscription.
Cons: The reception has always been tinny (as in a tin can). Too many dropped calls. When ever I call someone, or use a preset I have to wave my phone like some kind of magic wand to actually get connected. Other wise it will try to connect for about 30 seco

Sometimes I dont ever receive calls or texts
Terrible camera
Horrible battery life after a week or so. I got the battery changed because my phone lasted two hours. ON POWER SAVE MODE.Summary: It works for someone who doesn't do a whole lot. I'd say Id do a mediocre amount and it looks like this phone has been through he double ...

It is a pretty good phone, but could use improvements.
by samaraesther on July 5, 2010
Pros: It has a nice color and it's light weight! Easy to figure out. Keyboard has emoticons for use which is nice. Can have up to 99 speed dials.
Cons: I don't like the keyboard very well. It is small and hard to type on. The keys feel sticky. It will unlock and call people if you accidentally sit on it. There are not very many good ringtones either. Plus the camera is not very good quality.
Summary: Overall, it is a good phone if you like open keyboards and easy to use technology. I guess it just depends on what you like!
