The good: The Sanyo Vero has an accessible design that should appeal to visually impaired users. Call quality is decent and you get the basic features for communication.
The bad: The Sanyo Vero's plastic skin isn't very durable, and we don't like the 2.5mm headset jack. Audio quality at the highest volume levels was distorted, and the speakerphone is only marginally usable.
The bottom line: The Sanyo Vero doesn't get the highest call quality marks, but its user-friendly design and functional features make it a decent handset for basic communication.

missing many features that should be basic
by ekayrhys on September 13, 2011
Pros: can set several different alarms, good ringer volume range
Cons: Does not tell you what time a text arrived. Does not tell you the phone number the text was received from. Does not have USB mass storage mode or driver software, so you cannot do any data transfer via USB cable to/from your computer. Tech support rude
Summary: The makers of this phone overlooked some really simple things; it's pretty ridiculous. Even my old, bottom-of-the-line falling-apart phone I had before this one could tell me what time ...

Even my old, bottom-of-the-line falling-apart phone I had before this one could tell me what time a text came in and what number it came from, and it could connect to my PC with a USB cable. This is basic stuff!!!

Very Limited
by MaxyRaddy on November 18, 2010
Pros: Simple flip phone design
Cons: Must have data plan to retrieve photos. Gave me an option to save small sound file attached to an email but it cannot be retrieved once saved. It just seems to take up memory but there is no menu to find it. Impossible to use custom ringers.
Summary: You can make and recieve calls. Don't plan on much else.

VERY BAD PHONE
by Ocyahoo on December 16, 2011
Pros: If calls didn't drop all the time, this would be a good little basic phone for those, like me, who only want to make and receive calls.
Cons: Horrible reception even in one of Sprint's highest-rated service areas.

Summary: Horrible reception even in one of Sprint's highest-rated service areas. Sprint even issued me a free AirRave antenna for my home, and calls still consistently drop or reception cuts out even from within a few feet of the antenna. After 7 months of constant technician and in-store service, still no improvement. Sprint agreed to a no-cost replacement to another brand (refurbished).
For a phone that's only a phone, I need it to make calls without dropping them! This one is completely worthless. (Well, the calculator works okay.) -
SERIOUSLY CRAMPs STYLE; BUT IT IS STILL A GREAT PHONE!!
by Indian-Half-Blood-Prince on August 2, 2011
Pros: It is user friendly; I will admit that. It is easy for those of us who are technologically impaired to really get a hanf of the cell-phone idea.....a.k.a.: ideal for small children or old people, such as grandparents or parents.
Cons: It does not look cool when you flash it. I have the iPhone 4 in white, and it fits my total awesomeness. I bought this phone for my 10 year old son, since he needed one. When he walks with it, he feels that it does not flash like my iPhone. So, in order t

Ok, for basic use.
by eileenmauk on June 9, 2011
Pros: Big screen. Easy nice size numbers on touch pad.
Cons: Taking a picture with this camera is a struggle. The lense is on the back of the phone exactly behind where u need to select OK hence (to take a photo) so you have to hold the phone at the bottom half and reach up with your fingers to the top to take the

Summary: I got this for my mother to add her to my plan and get her off Verizon. Her nights and weekends now start at 7on my plan from 9 on Verizon. Color on screen looks good to her and me and the buttons are nice and big for older people. Just a little tough for her to get that charger port cover open but think might just take it off its just on with a thread really. She hasn't had call issues and sounds clear she says. Being a long time Sprint customer and happy and used Sanyo's phones when ever I could for found them very good on Sprint in past. She is happy using it and that's what counts.
