excellent value!-for the money and with no contract service--gotta love it-
by vincent marcellino on July 25, 2008
Pros: best looking-easiest texting-super ringtone quality!

Summary: so far the oystr-big old and clunky has by far the best sound of any virgin phone--BUT-the arc is faster(soft resistance free buttons on the flat keyboard) lighter and even easier to text with which is a primary need of mine.it looks a little like the flare when you first light it up but-
the sound quality is better than the flare-no lg static!- but nowhere near the kyocera level.
the arc is light and damned good looking for the fashion conscious or just plain vain
-and i like the way it feels too-soft and easy to hold-
speaker is ok-not great but certainly not poor
for the money you can't beat it-so buy it and enjoy the same quality you get in much more expensive phones for only 50 bucks!5 out of 5 users found this user opinion helpful.

Pairs Up Great With My Subaru's Hands-Free
by Right_Wild on July 23, 2008
Pros: Pairs up with my 2008 Subaru Impreza's hands-free BT, as well as a Plantronics Explorer 370 headset. Easy to read display, bright with good contrast.
Cons: Low-quality camera, won't let me upload my contacts list to the Subaru (VM crippled the OPP like usual). Can't get at the photos without going through MyPix (that's the crippled OPP too).
Summary: For 50 bucks, a damn good phone. I'm not a heavy phone user, so contract plans are not for me. It works with the hands-free BT in the car, ...

Nice Features. But just an average phone.
by mbabbe on December 2, 2008
Pros: - Voice Command
- Blue Tooth
- Decent Screens (internal and external)Cons: - Too many keystrokes to turn on phone's blue tooth.
- Average call quality (not as good as cyclops)
- Account Balance feature doesn't work.Summary: If you don't use your phone too much, it's a nice choice that you won't be embarrassed to be seen in public with. It has a nice ...
Summary: If you don't use your phone too much, it's a nice choice that you won't be embarrassed to be seen in public with. It has a nice set of features and battery life is respectable (at least with the new battery). The camera makes for a nice looking contact list, but the camera isn't much good for more than that.
On the down side, it looks like there is no shortcut to activating the bluetooth headset. You have to do it from deep inside the menu structure, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a bluetooth headset.
Call quality is so-so. The cyclops had better reception, which I returned it because VM refused to give me my promised rebate. But really, I don't use the phone too much (more use it for receiving text messages) so I can live with the occasional lost word.
I got it on Black Friday for only $20. And for $5/month, it's a great deal.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Great phone from one of the best wireless values
by mister_g60 on February 18, 2009
Pros: Build quality, price, features, battery life, overall value
Cons: Camera could be better - but I personally don't care and hardly use it anyway

Summary: I received this phone for Christmas just a couple of months ago. I had the Aloha, which sucked but for being free was fine. This phone is so much better. The obvious improvements include:
- Build quality
- Much faster OS
- Better menus and general layout
- Bluetooth (which I have honestly yet to use)
- More "grown-up" ring tones
I love Virgin-Mobile, but their problem for so long has been lame, lackluster phones. This one is one of the better ones that an adult can use and not feel ashamed of. Plus, it goes on sale pretty often from what I've seen at big brand name stores for around $30-40, but even at $50 it's a good phone and provides good value.
Mine has held up well, though I take really good care of my stuff. I don't use many voice minutes at all, only texting. I'm holding out for the Ocean2 which I hope will come to us VM users once the Helio integration is complete - maybe just pipe dreams, but we'll see. In the interim, this phone does everything I need it to, it's light, the battery life is great and it's nice to hold. Get one! For people who text a little or a lot and don't use more than 75 voice minutes per month, you can get this phone for around $50 and have 75 minutes for free via VM Sugar Mama and 200 texts for $5/month or 1,000 texts and the aforementioned for $10/month - what a deal!1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

VERY STURDY phone, sleek design, very affordable price.
by joylynn1973 on May 6, 2011
Pros: I got this phone on sale for under $20, and it's been dropped a bazillion time, but that's not all. It was left in a pants pocket and WASHED AND DRIED--yes, run through BOTH the washer AND DRYER! It worked perfectly until that, and now the only thing is I
Cons: Pics aren't great quality, especially if you move at all while taking it, but they're good for fun, uploading to the web and sharing with friends.
Summary: I don't think you can do better anywhere for a flip phone with these features and that looks this good, especially for the price. Certainly won't find one ...

Summary: I got the Arc because it was Virgin Mobiles best looking, yet affordable phone. It has some nice features (bluetooth and camera), but I mainly use it to text. The keypad is nice, except sometimes instead of pressing '>' to skip to the next letter, my fingers slip and press the middle button (send). I get around 3-5 days on one charge (I get around 30 texts a day and don't open my phone too much otherwise). It's a nice phone if you're just looking for something basic yet stylish.

Summary: It's a good phone and all for begginer. If you're looking for a phone for your son and or daughter, this isn't a bad idea, if there 10 or less. But if htere thirteen or something, don't bothe getting them this phone, it would be too boring for them, and they would be complaining in days about how t doesn't have video, keyboard, etc. But it's a great phone though if you're a begginer. That's all there is to it
