Pros: Makes excellent coffee & is a fun thing to watch. Love the all in one aspect of loading with filter, water & beans then some simple settings that stay until the power fails but quick to reset.
Cons: It has broke down twice; first time it just started working after spending 3 weeks on the repair shop shelf at 14 months then at almost 3 years it has done it again.
Summary: When you pay over $100 for a coffee maker it should last longer the the equivalent money spent in a coffee shop. Hopefully ours was a first year model problem ...
Summary: When you pay over $100 for a coffee maker it should last longer the the equivalent money spent in a coffee shop. Hopefully ours was a first year model problem & others are not experiencing the annoyance. Other pros: The aroma makes for excellent small pots of 2 cups equal to the full 10 brew. The autostart is great for those mornings when you don't have to go but need the motivation to pull up from the sheets & the noise of the grinder is like a song followed by the fumes of nectar being brewed. Final con: Very aggravating considering the cost & the fact that our 16 year old 12 cup still brews fine just the clock died around its 10th anniversary.
