The good: All games in high-definition; easy-to-use Dashboard interface; excellent online gaming and communications via Xbox Live; plays hundreds of (but not all) original Xbox titles; doubles as a superior digital media hub and Windows Media Center extender; online Marketplace allows for easy purchases of downloadable full-scale games, mini-games, movies, and TV shows; latest version offers HDMI output with 1080p support.
The bad: Early versions of the console prone to "red ring of death" system crash; noisy exhaust fan and DVD drive; gigantic oversize power supply; no built-in wireless networking or flash media reader; DVD playback has substandard video quality; support for next-gen HD DVD movies requires a bulky external accessory; 20GB hard drive fills up very quickly; online gaming requires a paid subscription to Xbox Live.
The bottom line: With its extensive digital media features, a superior online service, and an excellent game library, the Xbox 360 remains the game console to beat.

NO KEYBOARD OR MOUSE

Summary: People think that PC games dominate because the graphics are better but this is not the entire reason. One of the biggest reasons is that PC games use a mouse/keyboard for control. Serious gamers prefer the accuracy of a mouse/keyboard vs thumb controls (for most games, especially fps). Thumb controls were great on the NES in the 80's but the new games require much more accurate control. A simple mouse/keyboard combo would make the games more playable and movements far more accurate. I'm amazed that the console market has done nothing to improve control.
I hear all this talk about High Def, Blue Ray DVD's, MP3's and bla bla bla. It means nothing without proper control.0 out of 5 users found this user opinion helpful.

This one looks like the best
by dudex1101 on June 27, 2005
Pros: So many features dripping out of this thing.
Cons: Not as small as Revolution
Summary: I'm getting this and Nintnedo Revolution. This one looks better because of all the feature it has. Everything is wire less. You can even stream music to it. Wonderfull.

Xbox 360 imitates an old-fashioned cpu unit (Dell Optiplex GX240)
There is no creative style in design of Xbox 360, both console and controller.
Xbox 360's design imitates ideas from other manufacturers.
But Xbox fans consider it as friendly (known) style.
Xbox 360 is for conservatives.2 out of 11 users found this user opinion helpful.

So what is new with the XBox 360?

Summary: I'm an owner of a xbox. If I compare this xbox with the xbox 360 I do not see anything new changes except for a few minor changes and of Course more powerful. I find that most xbox games are very boring even the best titles of games out in the market. I know there are some people out there play Xbox games and claim they like xbox when in fact they do not play at all!

Summary: It makes me mad to think that since I am a Xbox fan (mostly because I really love xbox live) that I will have to buy a less powerful system. I really buy games just for online play, xbox will have better online play, but, PS3 probley will be a more powerful system then the Xbox 360. I enjoy having and using a better more powerful platform and now in order to play good games online I will be stuck with something inferior.
Why couldn't Xbox 360 come out after PS3 and take the time to make a BETTER system.1 out of 12 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: These latest "gaming machines" are mostly ordinary DVD players with special controllers. Nintendo had the right idea with the Gamecube, in that it only plays games. People do not really need seven or eight dvd players for their TV. They only need one, and you can get an ordinary one for far less than an Xbox (Or even a PS2). They should make the next system be exclusively designed for playing games. If people do not currently have a DVD player, they probably are too poor to buy an Xbox. However, the interchangeable and replaceable hard drive is a very useful feature, as it eliminates the need for memory cards. If it only played games and nothing else, I might get one. I don't need it for anything other than playing games, so why would I need it to do other things, such as play DVD movies, which I can do on other things as well, such as my computer. It's really a silly thing to do, and they should know that most people probably are going to have more than one gaming console anyway, and probably an actual DVD player.
