  no air vents!!

  Great machine, great price

  Pros: The PS3 is a great gaming machine, and an even better multi-media/entertainment center hub. I can stream movies from my MacBook and they look spectacular on my TV.
  Netflix looks GREAT!

  Summary: I had an original X-Box and loved it, I also have an Apple TV (first gen.) and loved that as well. This machine combines the best of both. While it doesn't have as slick an interface as my Apple TV, it can access my iTunes file and plays my music and podcasts. It also plays a wider variety of video formats than my ATV flashed Apple TV (.mkv files for example). It has true 1080p output (unlike my ATV's 720p) and plays DVDs and Blueray.
  
  As for the games, I don't consider myself a "hardcore" gamer but I do love my games. So far I've been blown away by the graphics and gameplay. I did love my Xbox games, and miss Halo. That game alone almost made me go for the 360. However, I'm not a fanboy, and I can see that the PS3 has some great games (Killzone, God of War) to keep me happy.
  
  I was on the fence between the 360, Apple TV and PS3. What I really wanted was one machine that could handle being my digital hub. Because of the price, I bought a refurbished Apple TV. It worked great for what it was, but it has limitations. The PS3 is a much more powerful machine does everything I wanted. The 360 didn't have Blueray
  
  I don't regret going with the ATV first, but I'm happy I'm running the PS3 now.

  The best game console period

  Good system, but, could be better

  Pros: I like that I have a Bluray and gaming system all in one vs having shelves full of electronics... or at least that's what I thought.
  
  Great design, nice menus, consistent updates.

  Cons: Let's see, lost PS2 support, still no MKV support, was told multiregion but apparently for games only so my UK import DVDs don't work, had to get a program to format external drives over 1TB to FAT32 because no NTSF support, and now Cinavia protection.
