The good: The Super Slim PlayStation 3 shrinks a powerful gaming machine into an even tinier package while maintaining the same features as its predecessors: a great gaming library and a strong array of streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, and NFL Sunday Ticket.
The bad: It seems Sony isn't yet able to bring down the price of the PS3, even though some cost-cutting design choices have been made. The Super Slim PS3's odd sliding disc tray and glossy plastic encasing make it appear cheap. Also, a few annoyances like not including HD cables and the lack of an infrared IR port should have been resolved by now.
The bottom line: The latest PS3 slims down to its smallest size ever while retaining
everything we like -- and a few things we don't -- about the
PlayStation 3 gaming console.

The best console out there

Pros: smaller size, Blue ray playback, Blue ray games, HD playback, easy to connect without any adapters, inbuilt wifi, easily expandable sata hard disk, free online gameplay, rechargeable wireless controllers
Cons: top load disk slot looks cheap, fingerprint magnet front and back panels, no bundled HDMI cable

Summary: this is by far the best gaming console/media player available in the market at present which is priced fairly cheap. Though there is no backward incompatibility you still have the best exclusive games for the console which will keep you occupied for a long time to come. totally worth the money and you also get a really good blue ray player which caters to all your media needs making the PS3 an all round winner
