  Inherently Flawed in every way

  Pros: Nice small form factor and appeal.

  Cons: No dual analog, no backward peripheral compatibility, SONY price fixing on games, no touchscreen keyboard considering the high price.

  Summary: Even the new PANDORA offers dual analog sticks. Its because without dual analog 3D games don't have proper control dynamics. Every single FPS game for the PSP is crap because you end up having to use face buttons to look and the setup feels unnatural.
  
  Consider also that the original PSP's games and peripherals are steadily getting and you could go for it and have access to more stuff for less money. The GO is nothing more than a way for SONY to exercise complete control of their product and makes it impossible for buyers to buy used games for less money - or, to even lend games.
  
  SONY never ceases to dissapoint. This inferior product is coming after the backward compatibility lacking PS3 Slim.
  
  if I wwere working at SONY their stock would be through the roof because we wouldn't be releasing products one after the next with ridiculous setbacks and flaws.

  great handheld for games, video and music

  Pros: the games look similar to ps2 even to wii, 16 gb for movies, music and games, wifi, pocketable, media go software is very usefull

  Summary: Here's the deal, I had some money to spend in a handheld for my solitary lunchbreaks, so I started doing some research, at first I thought about buying the psp go, I'm 39 but I wantes to spend my time doing something entertaining and enjoyable, so psp games sounded great for that purpose. In my research I found 2 other handhelds in the same price range, an archos 5 and an ipod touch. both are 16 gb, play games and have built in wifi. Internet is something that I use moderately, Im not a facebook or twitter fan, so that's something that wasnt the primary use of my handheld, but I thing if is was the case ill go for the archos. after 2 weeks I found out that best buy had the go at $145 so that made my decision, and i can't be more happy. Its very sleek, very portable, a lot of inexpensive games to buy, decent wifi and browser, nice features like skype and comic books (i love these), great games, very good picture quality, the os has the same ps3 appereance, with wifi u can connect to ur ps3 from anywhere easily, great sound...
  bottom line... if u r looking for inexpensive internet and apps handheld, buy the archos 4.3, if you love all thing apple buy the ipod touch, if you like good games, movies, music, tv shows and comics with some internet buy the go

  Pros: The biggest feature to the system its self is the new slide feature that hides the control buttons. It also has 16GB internal memory which is a good amount, but it can also hold an additional 16 by micro sd. It also has bluetooth and is a bit quicker

  Cons: You can not use any of your previous umd games in the new system, the usb cord is not the same, the memory stick used is different so you can not use the card from the previous model. The screen is smaller and the system is a finger print magnet.

The bluetooth giving you the option to use wireless headsets and the option of hooking up a wireless ps3 controler to play games instead of the onboard controls. The screen and entire system is still unfortunately a finger print magnet at least for the black one, not so much the white one. And every thing is done through the usb adapter which is different from the other models. It also has no way of getting you current games on to the new system which means that you have to purchase them from the playstation store, but this may change. Another thing is that you can not get all of the games on the system yet but that is changing. Another thing is that you need internet to get any content on it at all, which is a bummer for those who have no way of getting internet to the device, but there is another way to do this with bluetooth to the psp from a phone you can get internet to the device which is awsome when you want to get internet on the road. Speaking of the road you do not have to remember if you have the umd disks or not because every thing is internal. All together a great device as its size is much lighter and smaller than the previous models and with all of the new features it makes it just that much better. But it would help if there were a way to get all of your games to the device without having to buy them all over again.

  good...but not good enough

  A neat re-design with a few flaws.

  Summary: This is a fantastic product. If you are looking to find a replacement for a PSP that uses UMDs then I could certainly recommend this product to you. Unfortunately, if you have a large library of UMDs then this may not be for you (there is no way to get UMD media onto a PSP Go). The design is much better than the PSP 1000 - 3000 series of PSPs. Though, if you have any intentions of using this device for longer than two or three hours at a time, then you might find yourself becoming frustraited with the amount of recharging you'll do. Also, if you play any games that require the use of the analog stick, you may find yourself having to place your thumb in an awkward position. Finally, if you intend on playing many games, you might become dumbfounded at the amount of time it will take to download a game off of the Sony network. In all seriousness, it may take a good 120 minutes to download a game (Gran Tourismo for PSP took 200 minutes). The best remedy for this is to download your games off of the Playstation network from your PC (Mac users unfortunately need not apply). On one final note: The 16 GBs of flash memory you have at your disposal will be filled very quickly, especially if you have any inclinations of adding media to your PSP (i.e. Music, Pictures, Movies, ect.) This PSP is escentially meant to play your games, and your games ONLY. If you have access to micro SD or even have the money for an iPod touch or phone it is highly advisable that you go with those devices. Other than the limited storage and battery, the PSP Go gets a lot of things right. I would definitely recommend it if you're interested in a new, more compact portable gaming device with some power.

  Pros: The sliding action is very nice the analog stick looks like its in an awkward position but when you hold it and play a game its actually very nice

  Psp go the slickes lighthes psp yet!

  Pros: 16 internal memory, m2 slot for added memory,screen is smaller but sharper, audio is superb, design is slicker,bluetooth connectivity and wifi, and is soooo light!!

  Cons: Very expensive for what you get, controls are a bit misplaced, specially the analog cramps my fingers, downloading games takes a bit too long, could have used a touch screen and the exchange of mini usb for proprietary connectors isnt a plus either

I was awed by the weight and then after by the screen. Although the screen is a bit smaller, i like it better than the psp 3000 and all psp's in between. Because although psp go has a smaller screen, it keeps the same resolution and thus achieves a crispers level of detail that many reviewers fail to mention. aside from that, other tweats such as the inclusion of bluetooth for pairing with pheriferals and to thether with mobile phones is a great plus. The audio quality achieved walkman ranks this time arround and that's short for exellent.

  I was a bit disapointed that no headphones were in the package since this is so expensive, and yeah, so expensive.
  I thought downloading games took a bit longer than i expected given that they were 1g and took about 15 minutes and then 5 to install, where as a movie the same size takes about 9 minustes; hope sony ramps up their servers.
  In short psp go is for people who currently DONT HAVE A PSP and dont mind paying a bit too much for portability. If you already have a psp you should not get a psp go unless you need to have the absolute latest.
  This is not to say the psp go isnt a good device, i think it is great, not that much better than a psp 3000 which is also a great gaming device, and therefore not really worth close to 300. I will say that this psp will undoubtly be lowered to $199 and the 3000 will be lowered to $149...... just in time for christmas.

  I have to burn sony for this one, need to get it off my chest.
  WHY DOESNT THE PSP HAVE A DECENT (at the very least) BROWSER?
  THIS BROWSER IS BASICALLY AN HTML EMULATER AT BEST and it is very boring sony. At least let us have the ps3's browser on the psp. I know you dont have safari (not even going to mention that other one (IE)) but come on.....
  If someone likes to surf the internet, and play casual, then ipod touch, sony psp only for hardcore gamers and probably music audiophiles.

The black psp is a firger print magnet, but you can opt for the white one which is supposed to be better. same graphics is a shame, but it's still the powerhouse of handeld gaming.   Summary: When I original purchased a PSP 1000 in 2006, I did so because I was looking to get an MP3 player, and I felt if I was going to spend a couple hundred, maybe it would be smart to look into getting one that did other things including play game. Well guess what? Its 2009 now and two PSPs later (1000 then a 2000), I own an iPOD. Why? Because while I love the gaming on the PSP, the 1000 and even the 2000 models were much too large to effective be an MP3 player. I mean you can really jog well with the old PSP. Then from a portable media perspective, because the system was reliant on the Memory Stick Pro Duo, It couldn?t effective store as much music as I would like.
   
  Now this brings us to the PSPGo, which in terms of design is a dream, especially if you experienced the same issues as I did. The size of the unit has been decreased substantially to now when closed its slight longer than a deck of cards, or just a little bit larger than an iPHONE or iPOD Touch. Sony decided to incorporate a sliding screen that hides the gaming controls, similar there own Mylo device or a lot of high end Pocket PC Smartphones. The unit feels great in your hand, and is so much easier to carry around. A lot of people have complained in the past about how they don?t carry their PSP because they have to ?think? about it. That is no longer an issues with the Go, for the most part I find myself carrying it, without even thinking about it. The best thing I can tell you about the size is this, with my Go in one pocket, and my smartphone in the other, I could not tell which was which, and grabbed my Go to make a call. That is something that would NEVER happen with the old PSPs, unless you had a Zack Morris Saved By the Bell Phone.
  
  There are some negatives for this size reduction that might be a deal breaker depending on who you are. First the screen has decreased from 4.3 to 3.8. Now while this decrease ends up only being 1cm or so, some people take issue with it. For the most part, while you can tell the screen is smaller if you?re familiar with the past PSPs, it?s not much of a different. It?s almost like comparing a 40? HDTV to a 37?. Sure the owners of the 40? can tell the difference but it?s not a huge difference.
  
  But the good thing is, the screen is the best PSP screen to date. Basically it has the brightness and color levels of the 3000 without the interlacing, and without the ghosting of the 2000.
   
  Next the buttons on the unit. The buttons are actually a slight bit smaller and have a new layout that parallels Sony?s own Dual Shock 3 Controller with the D-Pad and analog stick placement. If you're used to using the normal PSP, this new button layout may take some getting used to, but once you do it feels just as natural if not better.
  
  The only issues some might have with the buttons are the following: The D-Pad now sits lower, so if you're a fighting game fan, while its better than the PSP 1000 was, its not as good as the 2000/3000 models. Next is the placement of the L and R buttons. To me, the felt at little weird at first, and they don't seem to fit your hand placement as naturally as the old PSP, but for the most part they work well and I no longer have problems. For those with larger hands, do not worry. You shouldn't have any problem with the Go, I had more hand cramps on my normal PSP then I have had in my play sessions with the Go.
  
  The Go has built in Wifi and Bluetooth for all your networking needs. With Wifi you can connect to the internet for gaming, or just simple web browsing. You can also connect to a PS3 for remote play, which will allow you to control and game on your PS3 via the PSP. Bluetooth is a welcome addition and one of the main reason I was excited about the Go. With Bluetooth you can connect to a headset for gaming or Skype calls, you can connect to a PS3 controller for gaming, and you can tether to a cellphone for downloading and surfing when Wifi isn't available. Connecting to a PS3 controller is a lot cooler than I thought it would be, when in use it even unlocks the multiplayer features of PS1 games. So you can easily connect your Go to the TV, then connect your controller for a console like experience.
  
  For multimedia the Go's 16GBs of one board flash memory plus the option for additional expansion through the M2 make it a beast. Currently on my Go I have 28 Games (20 PSP, 2 Minis, 6 PS1), 18 Albums, 2 Movies, 6 TV shows, and a few pictures, and I STILL have over 1GB of memory left, and I still can add an M2 if I want. The Go is flexible enough to were I can truly replace my iPOD and PSP with one device, that incredibly portable.
