  coolest cooler on the market (pun intended)

  Pros: easy to install, has great thermal paste pre-applied, great cooling performance, and looks great in my case. Push-pull fan setup ready. excellent build quality.

  Cons: requires 2 fan connectors (1 fan, 1 for pump)

  Summary: my only advice when installing this is to push the metal nubs through the rubber mounting bracket "X" holes and make sure they stay when twisting the screws in otherwise you'll strip the rubber holes (like i did!). the directions make the holes and metal nubs look circular but they are not!

  Pros: Well...the most important thing about this product is that its well balanced between performance, price, and ease of use (installation ).Simply put theres no other cooling solution better than this one AT THIS FORM FACTOR.

  Cons: It does not have a stellar performance out of the box. The single fan intake solution is INSUFFICIENT. Read on below.

  Summary: Let`s take the Intel i7 920 D0 as a reference CPU at its stock speed of 2.66 Mhz. The Corsair H50 is keeping it at 31C idle (47, 44, 47, 46 C for the cores) currently on my machine. (EVGA X58 SLI motherboard, Antec 900 case, 6GB Corsair Dominator ...C8D, everything stock speed). Its not a bad temperature but not great either. Now don`t get me wrong this unit can perform much much better by having a "push-pull" fan solution on the radiator and yes use a better thermal paste, but these are things that don`t come in the box. There is a debate going on about the direction of the airflow through the H50`s heat sink (air going inside the case or outside) and the owner will have to do a bit of experimentation to fully define that in conjunction with the airflow on their particular computer case. Solving the airflow direction and a stronger fan(s) will bring this unit to the level it deserves. Overall I`m satisfied with it I would recommend it, again because of it`s good price, ease of installation and it`s decent performance.
