The overall quality of this phone is poor.

Pros: Bluetooth.
Cons: Poor sound quality. Very cheap construction. Right out of the box this phone was defective with a static noise. Plugged directly into my modem and the noise was still there.
Volume is poor. sound quality is poor.
Summary: I chose Panasonic because I love my KX-TG5230. There is no comparing the two. It is like comparing a Mercedes to a Yugo.

Pros: Bluetooth!
Ability to pair your cell phone with this unit, and transfer its phone book!
Gives you an extra line with the cell phone, and can answer the cell from any handset in the house. Keep the base unit plugged into your computer's UPS.
Cons: Only comes in basic black, but that's not a major problem.
Summary: While this set might not be the flashiest in looks, under the skin it has every-single-feature-you-could-use, and more.

I have used this unit three months now without one complaint. Why not get all technologies rolled into one, and have the reliability of the extra line(s)? The distance is great, I have used this system in city and country, and you can even get an extender from Panasonic, but mine covers the two acres I live on just fine.
