2010 Chevrolet Camaro price range: $22,680.00
- Reviewed by: Wayne Cunningham
- Reviewed on: 08/18/2009
The good: Head-turning looks mark the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro LT, while the engine strikes a good balance between economy and power. A well-designed suspension keeps it under control in the curves. iPod and Bluetooth cell phone integration are available.
The bad: OnStar is the only navigation option. Audio quality is mediocre from the stock sound system. The shifter buttons are poorly placed, and the six-speed automatic only delivers satisfying performance in sport mode.
The bottom line: The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro LT is largely about style, although it isn't bad on the performance side. For cabin tech, only a few essentials are available.

correction: you can sync your iphone with the camaro
by mohamedgt on August 20, 2009
Pros: amazing performance and tech for price both competitors from dodge and ford will run way more over the price of the camaro.
plus for 37510 $ you get a car sporting 426 hp, limited slip, and mpg 25-30.Cons: plastic. where are they getting it from.
Summary: for the price no other company can compare. well except for the Hyundai genesis, which is wow. The camaro does have a rear view camera which is gm installed and ...
Summary: for the price no other company can compare. well except for the Hyundai genesis, which is wow. The camaro does have a rear view camera which is gm installed and can be ordered from the factory. its basically a screen built in the rear view mirror.
finally you'll be attracting as much attention as a Ferrari. the car is stunning to look at.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

I love my Camaro
by joepitt on August 19, 2009
Pros: I have the 2LT version. Great Looks. The V6 engine has plenty of power. The upgraded Boston Acoustics system sounds very good for a factory unit. The ride is great. Don't want built in nav; they become obsolete too fast. iPod integration is very good
Cons: The opening to the trunk is oddly shaped, which makes it difficult to put some things in. Shifting on the automatic could be crisper.

Summary: The Camaro is fun to drive and looks great. The styling has enough of the '69 Camaro influence to remind me of my younger days while still looking modern. The V6 has plenty of power for everyday use and some fun while still giving good gas mileage. If you want to stop light drag race get the SS V8 manual transmission version. The ride and handling is far superior to the '69 version. This is a comfortable car for two. The back seat isn't usable for anyone over about 8 years old, and then only if the front seat isn't pushed back. But, I didn't expect there to be much of a back seat when I bought it. To me, the iPod integration is very good. I've had aftermarket Alpine units in past cars with worse iPod integration and bought them because they had it. I know guys that use Zunes or just flash drives and the stereo reads them just fine. As for no built in nav; I don't want it. It becomes obsolete way too soon and is way too expensive. Also, every factory unit I've seen won't let you actually use it while moving. I understand the safety issue, but if I have a passenger they could use it without causing a safety problem. I can call the On Star folks and have them find what I want and download the directions to the turn-by-turn system. I've had them find me a Starbucks at 5:30 in the morning ahead of my just off I-95. Yes, if you're out in the boonies it may not work, but your cell phone probably won't work there either. If you don't want to pay for turn-by-turn ($100/year above the base On Star package) buy a Garmin or TomTom.

This is one of the best looking car coming out of GM
by jazzy5 on August 20, 2009
Pros: The look of this car is great and so is the power of the V6. It call for attention whever you go and it gets it. The power of the V6 is great and deliver the perfomance of many more expensive cars and with great economy. You can beat that.
Cons: On the bad side, the interior is the worst interior I ever seen. Making it worse is the all black interior with almost any trim to make it more pleasant. The dash tells me cost cutting to the maximum. Some gauge on the bottom of the console?

Summary: The looks and power of this car tell me go and buy one. But the interior, where I be seing most of the time, repulse me. The passenger side is so bland, it is like looking at a blackboard asking for stickers, writing on it anything just to avoid the emptiness. The speed and tach pod look just like that. Like they took it from a motocycle and attach it to the car, very cheap. I do not remember my 68 Camaro had that type of look. It was all part of the dash, not added to the dash at the last minute like the new Camaro. I think Ford and Dodge did a better job in the interior and dashboad than Chevy. These are the detail that has being killing GM. GM interior designer are the wost there is.

10 Camaro LT2 Awesome its not perfect what car is.
by lilac59 on August 5, 2011
Pros: 6 speed manual, get up and go with 6cyl,gas mileage is better than most, rides like a dream the nice big wheels helps too, nice size vehicle doesn't feel small, leather interior is comfy, a little room in back not like the old camaro's had none, Boston Ac
Cons: It doesn't sound like a Camaro should needs the low rumble on all models 1st thing I am doing after talking to muffler guy is removing rear 2 mufflers since it has 4 mufflers on it to give it a better tone, Break pedal is way higher than the clutch and ac

Summary: I own an 86 Z28 305 5 speedI have wanted one since they where on transformers and since saw one in midnight blue at car show I had to have that color. I bought the 2010 Camaro LT2 V6 304hpcar used this one is loaded with all options of the SS, I didn't need 460hp I'm not going to drag strip where else can you put out that much horsepower but a drag strip and not get a huge ticket and 304hp is enough. But what a huge difference it is an awesome car a few minor thing that annoy me but what car is perfect. As for interior my LT2 is nicely equipped all 4 seats leather dash has everything you could think of maybe a little to much and plastic on sides and dash makes it look very futuristic and a very soft glow from it at night when lights are on is very nice. I dont use onstar so dont care about it, I live in the boonies and I use my cell phone for directions just fine and get a great signal better than in city so why pay more. Trunk space is fine rear seat folds down, i got 4 folding chair and 3 camp chairs and cooler etc. in easy with not a scratch on anything. Roof is not low just gotta lower the seat is all its easy. I love having a sunroof too makes getting fresh air easy. Window roll down quickly with 1 touch don't have to hold down for sec.

My daily driver with a wheelchair
by jemusgrove on June 2, 2011
Pros: The car is fun to drive in an old school way. The V6 is sturdy and likes a fresh green light. The power band for 0-60 is not hotrod crazy but nice and solid. I own a 2011 RS, same as Brian's demo, and the car gets complements quite often. I lay the ba
Cons: I realize I am breaking down and putting a wheel chair in the rear seat, but I am even surprised how easily the plastic interior scratches and I have blankets over the console and reseating area. The slightest rub on the dark plastic is very visible. B

Summary: My injury was back in 2010 at a C8 and C9 level (Mid back). My daily driver before the Camaro was a Silverado and my weekend car a 1968 Corvette four speed. I have since replaced both vehicles with the V6 Camaro. In no means is this new Camaro my '68 but the feedback in the steering and drive train make it a awesome daily commuter. As Brian mentioned spring the money for the Bluetooth audio package. This Camaro is my daily driver and I have no plans of giving it up.
I am not able to try out the sifters switches so I would be curious to hear feedback. -
This is a solid car, made by a new GM they are better
by marce_us05 on April 17, 2011
Pros: Looks are killer, I HAD THE COCA-COLA 600 PKG it was nice, I had a V6 A/T with 6 speed, interior well put together and distinctive.
Cons: Roof too low, fuel economy is OK stayed between 19 and 21 mpg all the time, the lower door plastics scratched easily when steping in and out of the vehicle, doors are too long, a joke for a back seat. trunk space sucks due to the shape of the opening

Summary: I liked the experience I had in it I am 22 years old now, it got a lot of attention but as time went on, its becoming more and more common and harder to justify owning vs a Mustang which had more space, and more usable all together, even challenger will sit 5 people, camaro only 4.
Ride was awesome, style really pushes the roof down and may feel claustrophobic at times, fuel economy was O..K between 19 and 21 with the V6., on the HWY 22 Topped it. loved the 6 speed A/T great performance engine, traded it in with 24K so i drove it quite a bit, but I know the value of this car just like mustang will fall fast so changed it for a more usable car. -
Muscle Car for the masses
by theChevyGuy on July 16, 2010
Pros: The Chevy Camaro is a work of art when it comes to creating an affordable sports car for the masses. The V6 has over 300 hp & still offers 28+ MPG. The videos & pictures (http://www.chevy-camaro-2011.com) show this is one great looking muscle ca
Cons: Small trunk. Limited vision on rear view mirror.

Camaro SS: King of the Road
by Boyzen on June 1, 2010
Pros: Mordern-retro style, beautifull from every angles.
Torq from the 6.2L engine. ARRR!
6 speed short throw shifter.
Sound from pipes with the back seat open.
Quiet cabin, minimal road noise (back seat closed)
Pirelli Tire
Calibrated suspensionCons: Fuel consumption is High, average of 13Mpg.

Summary: After my first 1500 miles with my Summit White 1SS, My first impressions are better then what I imagine. The feeling I get behind the wheel is as good as it gets. In simple words: Camaro is King of the Road. I like almost everything about this Car, The seating position, the comfort, the style off course but mostly the Engine. The 6.2L, 6 speed manual shift with 426HP is just fantastic. It's long tall gearing provides a smooth touring like cruising at low revs and "transform" itself into a Super Sports Car after 4000rpm...great combination just like Steve Banner becoming Hulk. The cornering performance is American like, heavy but well footed. I like that but it's not for everyone. Without Traction control and Stability control, it's totaly a different car. It's like a wild horse not wanting to be tamned...aleluia!

A GREAT CAR w/ a GREAT WARRANTY.
by powerfreak on January 18, 2010
Pros: Decent power, handles and stops great....FUN TO DRIVE. Decent MPG. I'm 6-3 and I plenty of room. Highly recommended.
Cons: Not much, unless you count all the attention it attracts and that it's hard to keep it under the speed limit (I have an SS). If I were to REALLY nit-pick, there's maybe a few minor details in the interior Id change, but other than that, it's PERFECT.
