Everyday I hear "What a beautiful car!"

Summary: Editor should update his review. For a tech website, he sure missed a few details. As the first reviewer stated Bluetooth streaming does work, I have it connected to my iPhone 4 and iPad. Car connection shows up just as any other Airplay device or speakers. Also, the car has it's own data connection, not connected through your phone as editor stated above. Audi Connect has it's own SIM card that comes with the car and you get 6 months for free on the data, 14 months on the traffic data and Sirius radio. Data is provided through T-mobile but it's only 3G and coverage is not always adequate. The connection can then be shared as the car creates it's own WiFi hotspot. Voice activated navigation and google search is great. With the push of a steering wheel button, simply say "Google Search" then your request, a few seconds later you have a list of destinations. Another great feature is the 5" color screen on the dash between the speedo and tach, in addition to the large center mount display. On the in-dash screen you can scroll through a variety of options including car data, telephone, media and nav, all independent of the big screen. Other features available: adaptive cruise, HUD, lane departure warning, blind spot warning and night vision.
If I had any criticism it would be the lack of sport seats. The suspension is tight and hugs the road, it would be nice to be held into the seats a bit tighter, if you like the ride of european cars, you'll love the A7. Power reserve will get you through any situation when necessary, use the paddle shifters to knock it down a gear or two, step on the accelerator and hold on.
Styling is second to none. The LED lighting all around helps to add the wow factor as do most new Audis. This is only a 4 seater so the center section of the back seat is for storage and does not have a seat belt or seat for that matter. The hatch is what makes this car practical, unlike the Panamara, it's shape is not at all distorted by a "hump" in the rear of the car.
All around a great car, great tech, style and luxury. Beware you will encounter a lot of looks and questions. Everyone will say "What a beautiful car!"6 out of 6 users found this user opinion helpful.

Seriously gorgeous luxury hatchback.
by tadahb45h1r on May 3, 2011
Pros: Ferociously beautiful. Most gorgeous interior ever. Awesome techie stuff everywhere.
Extremely useful cargo space.Cons: More expensive than A6. Rear headroom poor if you are taller than 6'2" or so.
Summary: Honestly, its awesome.
Very happy with it for the 4 days we've had it.

Best designed 4dr car on the market today!
by MintzG on May 13, 2011
Pros: Design minus the spoiler. That spoiler or hanging piece of steel that pops up looks out of place
Power, this car can move
Although the car appears big at first it rides almost like a sports car
Fits 2 sets of golf clubs no problem
Very lush interior
I reCons: A con for Audi - this car will cannibalize the Audi A8. Not sure why anyone would buy that car after driving and seeing this one
Maybe too much technology
Loos suspension
Really can't see any otherSummary: I have a 5-series BMW and I test drove the Audi A7 and I have to say it makes the interior of my BMW seem cheap. On top of that, ...

Summary: The a7 does support bluetooth streaming, and will work support the iPhone over wifi. The bluetooth streaming when coupled with the wifi creates one of the most compelling tech cars available today. I am able to drive down the street listening to my pandora account streamed over the cars wifi from my iphone, I am able to use the MMI track forward key to control the app and skip to the next song. I can download ablums via my rhapsody iphone app and have on screen control (next / back) over the queue via the MMI controls. The B&O system is light-years better than the default bose system as well, don't belive the hype it is worth it.

Awesome looks and features. No regrets about this car.
by jasonrgreen on January 8, 2012
Pros: Great looks. Unique on the street. Much better looking than the A6, in my opinion. Awesome interior. Tech features to kill for. All seamlessly integrated. Pretty decent mileage (20-24 mpg). Huge trunk. Headroom not really an issue.
Cons: Wish the MMI had a button to go straight to weather. Would like a touchscreen, though this isn't too big a deal, as the distance might be reason they don't do it. Would like bigger glove box under passenger seat. That's about all I can think of.

Summary: Don't know where to start with this car. It's really great. I also own a Q7 (my 2nd), so I'm kind of an Audi guy now, so maybe that DQ's me from being impartial, but they have great service and make great cars. I thought really hard about getting an e350 or 5 series, but after driving them, immediately ruled out the benz. Then had to consider 5 series vs. audi. Both drive great and are really sharp looking. However, I decided that I really liked the cabin tech and MMI in the Audi and also that, much like when I got my first Q7 (and even with my current Q7), I like that it is a fairly unique car. I see lots of 5 series out and about, but have only seen a few A7's on the road.
The responsiveness of the car is excellent. I'm a fairly aggressive driver and I have no complaints. Has a smooth ride, even at high spreads. Takes corners great. Nice pick-up off the line, not that I'm squealing the tires, though. Smooth braking as well. Has a great jolt to pass at will. Can't speak for true top speed. Have only gotten to 120, so far.
The interior is quite comfy. Heated seats/wheel are a god-sent. Seats are comfortable (I routinely make 2 hr each way trips for work). Plenty of head/leg room. Rear-seat headroom is not really an issue (only if you're above 6'2" (I'm 6'2" and I can sit in the backseat fine without a hat)). Trunk is huge. folded the seats down and moved a playhouse for my kids once.
The tech in this car is really the star of the show. SD cards in dash are super convenient. Bluetooth audio from the phone is easy. Sound system overall sounds great, though I don't have the B&O system (just a bit more than I would pay). Google maps is totally awesome for NAV, no doubt about it. touchpad for entry is very handy and kind of neat for navigating the map. weather/traffic/news is very useful, though it takes a second to come up. Could be a bit more responsive, but it's a nit. Interactive cruise control is also very handy. Didn't get night vision or heads up display so I can't comment on those, though I wasn't willing to pay what they wanted for those features.
In summary, if you are considering this car, just do it. You won't be sorry. Love the car, love the brand. -
