The good: The Acer Revo 100 RL100-U1002 boasts a living-room-ready design, a unique touch-pad input device, and capable media features, including a Blu-ray drive, for a fair price.
The bad: This Nettop is not meant for gaming or general productivity because of a low-power CPU, and we'd feel better about its value if it had a 1TB hard drive.
The bottom line: Not everyone wants a living-room computer, but the Acer Revo 100 is one of the better low-cost HTPCs we've seen thanks to a wisely chosen feature set, its attractive design, and a mostly well-conceived input device.

Great Media Center PC

Pros: Small form factor that fits aesthetically with your other media gadgets. This is, in effect, a cleverly redesigned laptop.
Runs Windows Media Center and Boxee quite well. Can run Moovidia, but not in the 3D mode (ION GPU doesn't have the horsepower).Cons: Keyboard will take some getting used to. It's not for typing more than URLs.
DVD drive is the flimsy kind that comes in a laptop.
Be aware that there are TWO versions of the Revo - one with DVD and the other with Blu Ray. All the prices quoted above aSummary: Definitely worth purchasing for it's intended use, as a Media Center computer. Don't even attempt to play 3D games on it.

Pros: Works great for its intended purpose. This type of unit runs Hulu, Netflix, Boxee, etc. in native PC mode at 720P great.

Summary: I own an earlier model with even a less powerful CPU. The point of my review is to say these units work perfectly for the intended purpose of a HTPC. Being able to easily run any PC video on your TV without a lot of setup (WiDi, move a laptop next to the TV, etc.) is great.
For example, one can run the Asia feed of Bloomberg from the Bloomberg website directly on the TV just like watching the US version on cable TV. Can any other set top box do this?
Video at 720P is great. I do not use higher resolution HD because of the limits of my TV. -

Needs more horsepower

Pros: Nice slim case design, touch pad/keyboard is cool, Blu Ray.
Cons: Processor is weak and memory is small -- s/b at least 2GHz processor and 6GB of memory. I personally would prefer an Intel processor. The touchpad appears to have issues when used in mouse mode. The qwerty keyboard mode appears a bit cramped. Also sho
