Not Indy Professional Friendly.
by Cytex1 on January 17, 2013
Pros: Starts & restarts fast. Works great with minimal app's like Office, Aperture, Photoshop and other same ole mediocre softwares.
Cons: Experience to many problems using CS6 (After Effects), DaVinci (Blackmagic, Red Scarlet), Cinema4D & FCPX. Heavy visual work loads & plug-ins freeze the system, and required rebooting. Should've incorporated Nvidia 2/4GB graphic's card.
Summary: Apple needs to go back to its roots and make media computers for Media people, and take future 3rd party technology into consideration. New line of systems should've included ...

Summary: Apple needs to go back to its roots and make media computers for Media people, and take future 3rd party technology into consideration. New line of systems should've included a 8/12 Core Processor & Ram upwards of 64/128GB. The top of the line systems (i7) should be able to handle new 2.5K & 4K cinema camera's with no problems, but doesn't. Overall, independent artist, pro's & students will feel the expensive weight of their lost penny when purchasing any iMac.

Most advanced and stable 21" desktop you can buy.
by Meni on January 22, 2013
Pros: Extremely fast. Fusion drive best implementation of a hybrid drive on the market. Rock solid Mac OS X. Jaw dropping looks. Best color reproduction in its class. Runs Windows perfectly under boot camp or virtualization.
Cons: Lack of Retina display obvious to those who already own ultra high resolute devices. Apple still doesn't know how to make an ergonomic mouse.

Best All In One you can buy.
by masonaries on April 16, 2013
Pros: Great display, great features, great software.
Cons: None. It's all here.
Summary: Don't listen to CNet when they say you can buy a better PC with more features. Those "features include
a lot of plastic and Windows 8, yuck!

May seem nice at first, until you look at the offerings
by Accassius on January 17, 2013
Pros: Apple products always looks nice. Relatively nice specs on the inside. Mac allows for both windows and osx on one device. Apple still has fairly nice screens.
Cons: Competition has bigger screens for the price, and in some cases their screens are just as nice. Comparable windows machine much cheaper/better bang for your buck. OSX lags behind windows. No optical drive. Cannot change ram/no customization. PRICE.
Summary: The new Imac may look decent on the outside, but it is plagued by a small screen and no optical drive, and while it was never very customizable, you can'...

Summary: The new Imac may look decent on the outside, but it is plagued by a small screen and no optical drive, and while it was never very customizable, you can't even change the ram on it? Considering its price tag and the decline of OSX, no thank you.

Seriously overpriced
by adamf663 on January 17, 2013
Pros: This is basically a $300 laptop on its side with the monitor upgraded to a $130 desktop monitor. There is absolutely no excuse for something as mediocre selling for more than $500.
Cons: Overweight
Underpowered
Insanely overpriced.
