Excelent camcorder for a bridge.

Pros: Excelent Quality
Perfect Manual Mode
Good battery
Cons: Only NTSC - Pal is better.
HDV Tape for proffesional use expensive.
Not record video in memory card.

Summary: The camera need two importants upgrade: select Pal or NTSC - like Sony Z1 - and record video in the memory card. That could be a perfect combination to be the best camcorder of the moment. The HDV pro tapes are expensive and select Pal is always better quality and color. More if you are looking for your own style to film and experiment the 24p.
Except this the camcorder is more than you expect. THe quality is amazing, you can combine manual setting as you want, the focus, zoom and battery are the best of the market.
I hope Canon implement this upgrade - record to the memory card and Pal or NTSC mode - for free to the market, like other brands. Maybe by firmware or something like that.
If you can work and live without this two things, XHA1s going to be the best camcorder of your life.
