by Jimro
on
December 6, 2008
Pros: The Vado HD version has 8 MB of memory for 2 hours of HD quality video.
It includes a HDMI output and an HDMI cable as standard. 2"LCD. Removable lithium ion battery. Better..much more capable software included. PC and MAC compatible.
Cons: The Vado HD, as you'd expect, costs more than the standard Vado.
Summary: HD quality. 2 full hours of HD video. HDMI output. HDMI cable included. Battery user replaceable. 2 inch LCD screen. Better and more sophisticated software included.

Worth the price.

Pros: I paid $40. Well worth it. Resolution is fine when used with products software. Small enough to fit in your pocket.
Simple to use and charge. USB plug is part of the unit, so you can't lose it.
Cons: No optical zoom. Hope lens doesn't get scratched. Sound is good when played on the computer, but poor when played back on the unit.
Summary: Don't expect the results you would get from a $300 camcorder and you will be happy with this pocket camcorder. This is fun to use. I recommend it.

Pros: I paid 39.99 from Dell, I didn't expect much for the money but it's worth the price and very easy to use for a video rookie as I am. Like the USB for recharging and downloading. Nice design and LCD screen is a fair size. Not bad for $39.99
Cons: No memory card slot and not any real editing with the software.
Summary: I'm happy with it on the whole and think it has it's use's but don't think it will be the greatest to capture your families greatest ...

Summary: I'm happy with it on the whole and think it has it's use's but don't think it will be the greatest to capture your families greatest moments. It's good for capturing the cat's rough housing it and getting some quick video's of the wife at her worse or funniest moments and like I said for the price I paid I'm not complaining.

Vado HD video editor is TERRIBLE
by chefwa
on
August 11, 2009
Pros: easy to carry
Cons: you cannot do anything with the clips once you download ttem. Editor does not let you edit save and import so you can stitch clips together. VERY LIMITED unless you spend more on MUVEE software thats lets you do little more......
Summary: if you only want to shoot clips its a good picture. Past that its worthless and hard to use

Pros: It's small and cheap. I'll give it that.
Cons: Color reproduction was horrible. Weird blue and red colors at the edge of bright/dark transitions. Near useless indoors. And I'm not sure what they think they're doing in software but nothing worked right.
Summary: Not worth the money. Returned it an ponied up a few extra bucks to get something that worked right.

Summary: I'm really happy with my Vado. Its small enough that I can carry it around with me everywhere and cheap enough where I dont worry about . . . well taking it around with me everywhere. As for image and sound quality its definitely not a full blown camcorder but I'm just loading stuff on to YouTube so I dont think its really an issue. I've definitely been very happy with the purchase.
