The good: The GoPro HD Hero2 boasts improved optics, a few new video- and still-photo-shooting modes, and backward compatibility with current HD Hero accessories. Most importantly, its interface has been overhauled and is now much easier to view and understand.
The bad: As improved as it is, the Hero2's interface can still be a bit confusing for the first-time user.
The bottom line: The GoPro HD Hero2 is easily the best GoPro camera yet, with the ruggedness and quality that we've come to expect and a new user-friendly interface.

Pros: It has good video when you put it on the highest setting, it seems fairly durable so far, and the interface is easy once you get the hang of it, but it took a while to figure it out for the first time.
Cons: Quality is awful in low light conditions, the battery life on video is bad but in order to charge it while in the case you have to buy an all new 40 dollar skeleton case, after you've already spent 300 dollars on the camera and 30 on the memory card.

Pros: One of the biggest overall improvements from the first version would have to be sound quality. Second, of course is the multiple options for video quality as well as HD.
Cons: 2 small cons would have to be the loss of the eye sight which was on the first version. It had its moments that would help line of sight for recording. Second, which in minor, is the use of the menu options. First time users will be confused.
