Loving this little Camcorder

Pros: *Great Price
*Great Colors
*Good video and sound
*Great memory, expandable with an included SD card
*Small size easily fits in my purse
*Charging cord is extra long to give you some movement while charging

I could see nothing from where I was standing, but zooming in, I could watch her every movement.. Even in the giant gym we were in, the color and sound quality turned out great. Would buy this over and over again.

Pros: Takes great videos great sound quality - no flutter when you do a quick move as what happens with hd camcorders.
Cons: The display screen should be upgraded so that it can be seen better in bright sunlight

Summary: This camcorder works really great. Now for those of you who complain about viceo quality several things take into play when you capture the video on the computer. I did a direct plug in into the flat screen and the quality was outstanding.
Now when it comes to downloading on to the computer to burn to dvd - I found out that you need to have a program that will copy the video from the camera to a dvd format. I downloaded to the computer in dvd format, mpeg format and avi format. The dvd format was the best quality the mpeg format was the worst.
That may be the reason why some of you users are having problems with the quality of the video.

Pros: Small and lightweight, easy to use, lots of features for the price.
Cons: Video resolution is average but what do you expect for a camcorder for under 200.00

Pros: LCD is clear with user friendly touch screen.
Cons: Unbelievably bad picture/video quality, why Sony would put their name on this product is beyond me. I bought this in Thailand and tried to return it after seeing the picture/video quality but Sony would not accept it back.
Summary: Avoid this camera you will be disappointed. I bought it without researching first because I own a DCR-TRV16E that is several years old but still make excellent videos. Sorry Sony ...

POOR VIDEOS FROM THIS MODEL FOR ANY PCS

Pros: Very easy to use with it's touch screen features and conveniences built in. Very nice and very clear lcd screen.
Cons: No matter which way I opted, the video quality after transferring to any pc is not sharp or clear like similar camcorders in the same price. After comparing to friend's video results, this handycam 44 always came out second best!
Summary: This videocamera is wonderful only for youtubes, i-phones, android phones, etc but not for real quality video at all!

Pros: Video quality is good, 60x optical zoom, nice design, built in lens cover, uses SDHC, the light is so good that it blinds people

Summary: Since I loved the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W180 (see my review about it here on CNET,) I decided to buy this. At first glance it was a small camcorder, but I got used to it. And I have a nice Adata 8GB Class 10 memory card. Notice I am not replacing the DSC-W180, just for the video function. Nice design, but a few issues like when it records in .mpg format. I use a Mac so I will have to get a $20 decoder. So there. Great camcorder, but a few issues. I recommend it, and I hope this review will help you what camcorder to buy. Bye!
UPDATE 6/25/2010 - Ok, seems like Apple has been screwing with me. The encoder apparently won't work with Sony camcorders, so I'm screwed. It's a great camcorder otherwise.
