Very happy with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II -W- 24x105 lens
by Diana Clark on February 2, 2009
Pros: Pros: I love everything about it. This camera was built for me.
Cons: Cons: problem with getting the sharpness that I am use to getting with my other camera & lens. pic's are a little dark , kinda under exposed .(with Defalut settings ) But I am sure I will learn how to get it or I can always fix them in the software.
Summary: Would I take my money back for my Canon 5D Mark II -- 24 mm X 105 mm len's ?

Woke one morning cuddling Canon 5D Mark II...
by jjdnorton on February 22, 2012
Pros: Camera in hand majority of my life. Super 8 still use occasionally. Canon 5D Mark II ADDICTED. I woke up cuddling it one morning. My beautiful bride still laughs about that. Full frame is a joy. This BEAST makes everyone look like a photography genius. Du
Cons: Camera noise. This bad boy hums. Be sure to record sound with a secondary device if making legit film. Watch soft focus in video mode of a subject. Movement varies. Subject leaning forward and back tends to get soft.
Summary: BEST camera for me. It fits all the places The RED can't. Download the Technicolor software...

Wonderful video. Chromatic aberration on 24-105 zoom.
by lenwhyte on September 22, 2010
Pros: The High Def 1080p video is sensational. The automatic still shooting mode makes live very easy. Low light sensitivity is amazing.
Cons: It's a very complex camera, and there's a lot of reading and learning to get the most out of it. I'm not happy with the chromatic aberration of the kit 24-105 zoom lens.
Summary: Love the video capability. Love the low light capability. Disappointed in the kit 24-105 zoom lens.

Amazing D-SLR
by hjfok on October 26, 2009
Pros: Superb image quality even in low light. Ability to shoot 1080 HD video is an attractive bonus. The 24-105mm L class kit lens is a very good general purpose lens, a great match and bargain for this camera.
Cons: The fps is somewhat slow for sports actions and the HD video AF is poor (you will be better off using manual focus when using Live View HD video).
Summary: This is a superb D-SLR at a reasonable price. It is best for landscape, portrait and studio work that demands excellent image quality and details. This camera is however a ...
Summary: This is a superb D-SLR at a reasonable price. It is best for landscape, portrait and studio work that demands excellent image quality and details. This camera is however a little bit slow to be a serious sports action camera (but its excellent low light performance does allow one to use a fast lens to capture some decent night/indoor sports photos).

best camera i ever touched
by balwazeer on April 15, 2009
Pros: when you hold it you feel like professional.. very good iso up to 1600
Cons: anything above 1600 iso will not be very satisfying, and it has average focusing speed(not very fast)

Amazing Camera.. worth every penny
by sjschaef on April 10, 2009
Pros: HD Video, 22.1 Megapixel.. easy to use and takes amazing pictures
Cons: HD video requires you to dig into the menu system.. it would have been nice to have a dedicated mode for this or make it an option on the first menu screen (hint hint firmware upgrade)...
Summary: I am an amateur photographer that upgraded from my Canon EOS 20D that I purchased 8 years ago. I like Canon so I stuck with it. This camera is amazing ...
Summary: I am an amateur photographer that upgraded from my Canon EOS 20D that I purchased 8 years ago. I like Canon so I stuck with it. This camera is amazing and I highly recommend it. On a side note....Canon has two different types of lenses EF and EFs.. make sure you have the correct lenses.

Great upgrade for my old 5D, worth the wait
by jabra on February 2, 2009
Pros: The camera has so many new features and improvements. The 3 inch display is fantastic, and I can easily change my ISO and other settings from the screen.
The image quality is fantastic.Cons: When playing back movies or pictures I wish the screen would go full screen without any information showing on top. Need a better interface for the video for editing.

Summary: Well built, fast and easy to use. The menu is so much easier to navigate now with the improved lcd display. The low light capabilities of this camera is sensational. I use iso 2000-2500 all of the time and it is great with my 24-70L.
My only real complaint is about the video format. The videos are incredible, but very hard to edit. I have a brand new IMac 24 and I have a hard time editing.
I am very happy with the camera and it is much improved over the old 5D.
