The good: Attractive, ultracompact design; easy operation; well-rounded, basic feature set.
The bad: Photo quality dips above ISO 200; flat buttons can be difficult to press accurately.
The bottom line: Simple and stylish, the Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS is a fine back-pocket camera as long as your photo-quality expectations are reasonable.

Great, compact camera that does exactly what you need.

Pros: I bought this camera before making a trip to Mardi Gras. I wanted something that I could fit in my pocket that had a decent zoom to it. This fit the bill. It's easy to take video as well. Great face recognition feature too!
Cons: Not much I don't like about this camera yet. Battery life is great and so are the photos. Only gave it 4 stars since it didn't do stellar on night photos of moving objects - but really only an dSLR would.
Summary: Bottom line is that I would recommend this to everyone needing a compact or pocket sized camera. It's small, functional and easy enough for kids to use!
