disapointing, and not worth it.

Pros: small size, lots of settings, anti shake, low price
Cons: terrible pictures that blured, falling apart, small buttons

Summary: when i got this camera for Christmas, i though hey, its small, lots of settings, an LCD screen, and i was so excited. i went to a park and took tons of pics. when i got home and looked at it in Iphoto, i was VERY disappointed. the pictures are grainy, sometimes they just look like blotches of color, the pictures were very unclear, and just disappointed me all the way. after returning it i went for the more expensive but MUCH nicer canon power shot SD900. now i can see that even though it was MUCH more expensive 450-500 dollars, the camera takes pictures that are amazing compared to the casio.
i knew the pics on the casio weren't going to be superb, but i was expecting more than a blurry mess, and that is all that i got. don't waist your money. even though it is small and a good price, you will be disappointed even for a quick shot camera. if you want a good camera get a canon or a sony, both which i use and they are great.
the casio also felt like it wasn't made as nice as my canon. the top metal peace around the on/off button popped up the day i got it. and it also has a very small and hard to get on/off button.
all in all this camera will deliver horrible pics, and if you want a great small compact camera, go for the canon SD900 which is 10 mega pixels and takes pictures as clear as glass. if you want something a little cheaper, i would recommend the SD800 also, which is very nice too.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Lens will break

Summary: great camera, up until after 1 year, and now the lens doens't work. It wont focus, leaving you with a blurry camera.. and when you want to capture those "kodak moments" you're SOL!!
I'm very angry at this camera now. I believe the problem are the buttons, because even if in a case, if the buttons get tapped, the lens will Shoot out, and if its in the case or pocket, it'll just smash against itself, probably leading to why this camera will have lens problems later. -
A good everyday pocketable quick snap camera.

Pros: Good anti shake and a good selection choice of modes.

Summary: For the basic camera needs this is perfect. You can slide it easily into a pocket and have it hidden away. There are a number of features which help the process but always the best selections.
Obviously this is no professional camera and I think some people would assume it should be better than it is. I for one knew what I was buying. A fairly good camera which is easy to use, manage and keep hidden. It has a nice size screen and does change contrast when viewing in poor lighting to help you see the image better on the screen.
If you have added a 2GB SD in this little guy you can also take a enough pictures and short movies to have plenty of space left over. You must beware which settings you are taking on know. Obviously for best quality and best zoom you go to have the camera set to max. But you don't always need to do so. Because for the basic shot lower settings can be just as good. And no matter what Cnet guy said, the quality is pretty good when you start printing out. -
Good Compact camera

Summary: I feel the editor that did the video review was very biased. And did not do it professionally at all. He says it has video mode if you do that type of stuff...well I feel its a very good feature for a camera to have video mode bc sometimes we don't always tote along our camcorders. Aside from that though I have a silver one that I ended up giving to my fiance and then I bought the 10mp model bc I liked the casio so much... the only problem is after you drop it a few 10 20 times it won't power on. lol. awesome product.

Summary: I have had this camera for about a month and I love it. I took it on vacation and it took amazing pics of scenary, even during low light situations like sunsets. The movie quality is also very good. The flash can light up and entire room and you can control the intensity of the flash so it wont be too bright. Im also a college student so it is great to take when going out because the size is so unbeleivably small. It is almost the exact size of motorola razr and no other quality cameras come close to being this small. Overall I think it was given a poor rating because it may not have professional picture quality in all lighting situations, but if you want professional quality than buy a professional camera. If you want a tiny camera that takes awesome pictures and movies than buy this camera

Do not purchase this camera

Summary: The photos taken with this camera is simply unacceptable, even the novice photographer will shun at the photos taken by this camera. Besides its size and anti-shake feature, I can't see anything else good about this camera. Besides, even if your photos are saved by the anti-shake, you wouldn't want anyone to see those pictures, because noise is well, pretty much everywhere. I didn't take too many photos before I took it back, but noise was creeping about even in bright shots. This camera is, simply put, a joke.

Will Greenwald is an idiot

Summary: Will Greenwald (assistant whatever) who reviewed this camera, stated it has a panaramic and an auction mode, of which it has NEITHER.... Now that I've got that off my chest, I LOVE this camera. You can't beat the size, image quality is not as bad as most reviews say it is. The best shot modes are awesome. I've never had a problem with the LCD in bright sunlight.
That said, it can be a bit sensitive to movement, so be sure after automatically focusing on your subject you hold still. This really has not been a major problem for me though... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAMERA! -

Summary: I have had the S600 before it was available in the states. I purchased from Japan over the net. It has surpassed my expectations. I formally had a Canon S70 which was superb but this little thing takes pics as good in most cases and it fits in my pocket and I forget it is there. Great for travel and snapshots. The flash tends to wash out subjects. Movie capability is nice but I almost never use that function. One real complaint is that it didn't come with a memory card. You need a memory card. The camera has internal memory enough to saveabout 5 pics. I do not regret my purchase what so ever.

- Description: The EXILIM CARD EX-S600 series is the next evolution in the popular line of ultra-slim card-sized high-resolution digital cameras of CASIO. The EX-S600's ability to take state-of-the-art movies instantly and easily adds to the versatility and fun of this powerful and high quality digital camera. The EX-S600 fits conveniently in any pocket to go wherever you go, ready to quickly capture special moments. No matter how spontaneous the situation, the EXILIM engine's Anti Shake DSP reduces blurring caused by shaky hands and/or moving subjects, and the Auto Macro and Quick Shutter functions ensure that photos are properly focused.
