Summary: A couple years ago, I never would thought recommend a Casio camera. The quality, in my opinion, was subpar and their technology eons behind Canon and Nikon. However, I know when to admit I'm wrong, and this camera is the reason. Nothing can match a 30 photo per second burst mode nor a 1,000 fps video recording for under $300. In addition to having a back lit CMOS sensor, photos turn amazing even in low light. I was impressed by its lightness also. You can have this in your pocket and it feels like nothing is there. The menu is a bit confusing, but nothing a little time can't handle. However, there were a few flaws which I didn't approve of. First of all, the IS drops out when you zoom past 6X optical zoom. Not a big deal in sunlight, but when shooting indoors, it could be a major pain. Also, the HDR Art (a major selling point by Casio) is pretty cool, but not the "this camera is amazing because of this" deal. Finally, the shutter button feels a bit too loose to my liking almost as it were to fall off at any minute. Despite these flaws, I feel the Casio is an otherwise solidly built camera with plenty of excellent features to satisfy the amateur to professional.
