Good point and shoot for the money.
by PSundancer on May 25, 2005
Pros: Large LCD screen (2"), ease of use, automatic setting does well even in lower light
Cons: manual pop up flash, battery slide cover hard to open, no recharge port, USB cover not attached to camera itself, (they provide 2 if one is lost)
Summary: For a 4.1 MP point and shoot, it holds it's own. Flash could be stronger. It doesn't use up battery power like some of the 4.0 ...
Summary: For a 4.1 MP point and shoot, it holds it's own. Flash could be stronger. It doesn't use up battery power like some of the 4.0 MP or better. Overall, it's worth the money spent.

Great Camera, good features
by dell_dude3449 on December 17, 2006
Pros: Nice size, lots of features, pop-up flash, big screen, takes decent video clips
Cons: Pictures grainy at high zoom levels, no image stabilization

Summary: I like this camera. 4.1 megapixels is fine for me, as is 3.2x zoom. The software is decent, but I prefer copying the pictures manually on Windows XP, because the software will import ALL the photos on the memory card, instead of just the ones you want. It has shut down on me twice, where I would turn it on, but as soon as I touched the shutter button, the camera would just black out. How to fix it: take out the batteries and leave them out for about 5 minutes. Then, put them back in, reset the time, and your pictures will all be there. I recieved this camera for christmas last year, and it has helped me capture memories and create presentations several times. I use it constantly, but if you are a more serious photographer than I am, get a newer model. The pics are slightly grainy at 100%+ zoom levels. But, despite these few problems, I really enjoy and reccomend this camera.

B4 you complain, it costs $150!!!
by regassert on September 8, 2005
Pros: Cost, feature set. Good battery life
Cons: no recharge port, I wish Fuji would use SD
Summary: For less than $200, much less actually, you get a 3.2 zoom, manual controls and 4.1 MP. Honestly, I don't see how anyone can complain about that. ...
Summary: For less than $200, much less actually, you get a 3.2 zoom, manual controls and 4.1 MP. Honestly, I don't see how anyone can complain about that. I fail to see many of the complaints listed in other reviews. It would be a 10 if the flash was an auto pop up and if it could charge a battery within itself.

if I could return this I'd get another in the same price range, a Sony or Canon
by dmso on August 4, 2005
Pros: nice size and price, sound with video, good macro, flash doesn't open automatically
Cons: terrible colors and grainy, fuzzy photos

Summary: Very very disappointed with this camera! I much preferred the photos taken with my old Sony CyberShot purchased in 2002 - even though it was only 2 MP the photos were much sharper and colors truer to life. This Fuji gives weird artificial fluorescent colors, especially with people - orange-y flesh tones. Photos are extremely fuzzy/grainy when viewed at 100%, even when taken in bright sunlight. Wish I could return it!

prac tical to buy compare with higher megapixels but with almost the same quality
by jcgalurs08 on April 15, 2005
Pros: user friendly
Cons: it take awhile to register on the LCD after taking shot
Summary: it would have been better if Finefix E500 has a higher optical zoom

by NeonKnight on March 12, 2005
Pros: Large LCD screen, easy to use menu
Cons: LCD display is dark and you need do max out brightness for a decent brightness in order to see what you will be taking a picture of
Summary: I've seen older Fuji models that take just as good pictures as this camera. Fuji is a great company that manufactures great products, but I don't think that ...

Summary: This camera is Great. I have been in photography years ago. I bought this camera to be a replacement for a disposable camera. The quality is great. The functions on the camera let you get pictures you'd only expect from an SLR. Like: manual focus, focus on a specific object. Set pictures for depth of field, or fast shutter speed. The effective fstop on this lens is 23mm. its great for portraits!!!!!
