Iffy value on this one
by cobalt_arrow on June 23, 2007
Pros: Cheap price for audio/video recording cap; not a ton of things to learn to use
Cons: Video playback on the computer was horrid, Kodak customer service is in name only

Summary: I tried 2 seperate cameras of this model and had the same problem with both: the lighting reqs for doing vids is alot. If I didn't have huge amounts of lighting in the room the video playback on the comp using the supplied software was abysmally dark and nothing could be seen. Kodak's customer service is laughable if it wasn't for the fact I paid over $100 for this camera. The still pics it takes are good though. Also the supplied manual and the online manual (basically it's the same as the one from the box) are terribly insufficient. There's buttons on the camera they don't tell you how to really use at all. The supplied software suffered simialr deficiencies.

tops other budget cameras
by gravasco on June 19, 2007
Pros: even has an anti-shake feature, many scenes, high ISO, zooms in video mode
Cons: flash is not strong enough
Summary: For the cheapest budget camera I've found (around $100)in the market today, this one tops the rest of its class... clear crisp pictures in all sorts of light (...
Summary: For the cheapest budget camera I've found (around $100)in the market today, this one tops the rest of its class... clear crisp pictures in all sorts of light (even backlight), even an anti-shake feature present usually in expensive cameras, and the zoom works even when you are in video mode. So far I am enjoying the experience.

Summary: I have owned a couple bulkier cameras with more features that this one, but I am very please with this camera. The picture quality is excellent and with a 1GB SD card I never have to worry about running out of disk space. My wife complained about too many features with our other cameras but she loves this one.

I got one of these for Christmas.
First one came. Worked long enough to snap a few photos and record some videos. then stopped powering up.
Second one, would not power up at all.
So, in short, it is a P.O.S. Don't bother wasting your money.
Mom got it from Dell. Either they got a bad batch or it's just bad camera period.
Either way, it was a waste of my Parent's money and it ruined my damned Christmas. Thank for nothing Kodak.2 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

For 75 dollars you cannot go wrong...

Summary: I recently bought this camera for my mother-in-law and I tested it before we gave it to here. I was pleasantly surprised b the picture quality and ease of use. It took good pictures and had a nice set of features. Like many pocket cameras (even much more expensive models) it performs iffy in low light and it does not have a rechargeable battery set but these are minor points when considering the price of around 75 dollars. I would wholeheartedly recommend this camera for any novice photographer looking to buy a new camera.

It'll do the job
by gadget-girl on November 18, 2007
Pros: price, 2x self timer
Cons: grainy images, not good at dark images or video

Summary: This camera is decent for the price. I'd say its good for regular point and shoot pictures, and you can even get some pretty good high quality photos out of it. It's not great for photos or videos in the dark or high contrast shots - it misses a lot of detail. For example, taking pics of the interior of a room with a bright day outside shows just bright white coming through the sliding glass doors, rather than the outdoor landscape that is actually outside the doors. Adjusting the settings to see the landscape outside the doors makes the interior room very dark. The scene settings provided are decent though.
It can also be a bit slow if you want to take pics in quick succession.
The 2x self timer that takes two shots is pretty cool. -
It is cheap, It works.
by Coult_45 on December 25, 2007
Pros: none this thing is just average
Cons: Picture quality when you use the flash.
Summary: If you don't spend the money on cannon or sony, than It will work but you will never be impressed.
