Thank God, Jesus Christ, for everything! Great camera.
by fujitsulover on February 27, 2010
Pros: Adjustable megapixels; crisp and clear pictures; instantaneous click and capture; short manual; easy to use; seems to contain many of the features of a high end camera; etcetera.
Cons: cute clicking noise; a little cumbersome to use the software.

Summary: This is only my second day of using the camera and I am full of joy and happy. The first day was the unpacking of a repacked used looking box. The price was cheap and sold on eBay. Now, I know why. The base price was $56 after the end of the auction and I had to pay another $7.50 for shipping plus $3 for my VISA fee, which I had to get for having bad credit. I can't complain... at Staples, I would have paid double the total price. However, if I had the money, I would have gone to some place like BestBuy or Staples because at least it is new. You get what you paid for. I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable about picture taking, however, I have only read up on it on the internet and spent maybe days learning about the photography. With a little knowledge and a lot of experimenting, I am able to operate this camera easily. I have found 10.2 megapixels to be about 4 times greater than what I really need. Although I love the blow up possibilities with this magnification setting. The way you get good pictures is by setting the camera to SMART CAPTURE, point, and shoot! I don't know how the professionals do their shots, but this is how I do mine. Since I do not get paid for my pictures, I guess it is not as good. But who knows? It is only my second day. I would recommend you buy this camera if you are looking for something to have fun with. I do nothing except point and shoot and the pictures all come out perfect now! I just have to adjust the frame so that it does not cut off my hair.hehe anyways, this is a fun camera and i love it... if you have the money, i would recommend you buy it. if you don't, i would recommend you save up for it. the smart capture feature with autoflash on is a no-brainer. very easy to use. i would have to say that i did have to look at the instruction manual through a few times before i got what i needed out of it. so i could not just wing it. i had to read. well... the first day of picture taking was horrible. it was all blurry and out of focus with my tinkering and not knowing which settings to use. then i found the magic combo. the key is to set it for smart capture. always use auto-flash. and always let it turn green first before snapping the picture. i hope that it is that easy for all of you. i know it is not like the other cameras that i had when i was little. the ones that you take out of the package and just snap away until the 27th or 28th frame was complete. those were the days... so much fun, but so much money had to be spent. now, i can save money by just saving the pictures on my hard drive. i have a 2gb sd card and it holds about 4000 pics at 2 megapixels. this is amazing and you would need an extra battery pack or more if you plan on taking that many pictures. 1 battery pack lasts about 320 pics. 10 megapixels is just too big. it would have to be resized down to 25% of the actual image before it could be seen fully. the battery is fully charged when the light stops blinking and stays solid green. i would recommend leaving the protective see-through sheet on the viewer so that you are saved from minor things like finger prints, scratches, etc. i wish i had a camera bag for this cutie. however, in absence of such a thing... it makes me take even better care and to take even more precautions to handling a precious product like this. the usb plug is a little tough at first to handle... it gets stuck going in and out of the camera... the other end is okay. the camera port is just so tight. i would not recommend using the software that comes with it. i would just plug it in and turn the camera on and just navigate manually to the folder of where the pictures are found and copy it manual. my mom has a sony which costs about five times as much money and the pictures are just as clear... i do not have a sony so i cannot do a direct comparison right now. i don't want to take my mom's camera from her... she must love it like i love my camera... i guess everyone has their own taste... my stepfather is always bragging about sony and nikon for picture taking. however, the ones that he likes are borderline professional camera costing much more than i have money for. they do seem to take nice pictures, however, this camera is good enough for me. i tried it for maybe a week, but it turned out to be work. my stepfather wanted me to be a professional photographer and pushed me. i was tired out. i couldn't stand it. with this camera, there is no pressure. i could get into being a professional at my own pace. if i ever feel like i need a better one, then i would just ask my parents. by that time, i should be able to take decent photographs with the model that i have. maybe i will be good enough to get paid for my pictures without the DSLR camera and such. i hope this review did not offend anyone and was helpful... i have tried to write what i know instead of proper spelling, grammar, and . May God, Jesus Christ, bless us all!
