THE PERFECT POINT AND SHOOT

Summary: The Kodak is simply the best camera i have ever used. Its shoots an extremly high quality photos. the panoramic shot mode takes a little practice. it takes 3 seperate photos in 4.2 MP mode, then stiches them together. it even helps you line up each shot with the previouse shot. the finished product is a 12MP really cool looking photo.
besides that, the regular photos just "pop". i have used nothing but Fuji Fine Pix cameras up until this point. comparitivly, the Kodak is twice as easy to use, and the software does not make me want to pull my hair out. all-in-all, a really high end, solid product. you would be crazy not to buy this camera13 out of 14 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: I have had my camera for a little more than a month and I use it everywhere. The picture quality is nice and I am very please with my purchase. If you have the Kodak printer set up you will be a one man/woman novice-midrange photographer...or feel like one. I even recommend the Kodak family of cameras to my family and friends.
For the new user, be sure to read/review your manual to get the entire bang for your buck.
I gave it a 9 rating because there is no product perfect for everyone.
Good luck in your camera purchase and photography.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Lots of camera for the money.

Summary: Overall not a bad camera. There are lots of presets to choose from and they work well. The camera even has a limited list of manual control options that work as well as the photographer can make them work. The lens is large and so contributes to the detail. The image stays sharp at full magnification but the user must be aware that if you zoom beyond the 5x the camera will use digital zoom and so the image will deteriorate. At the high ISO setting the image is very noisy but if one were using ISO/ASA 3200 film the image would be similarly noisy (grainy). It is an inescapable fact of photography. The camera has been criticized as not very sleek. True. It is not an aerodynamic design. But it is a camera, not a jet. The HD video is OK. Carry extra batteries as it uses them up in a hurry, especially if you shoot a lot of video.

Summary: I bought mine from Kodak the day it came out. It takes excellent pictures on manual settings...like a 35mm. It also makes a great point and shoot. I also us energizer e-lithium batteries, you can shoot a ton before you have to change them. Would definitely buy this camera again. It does need a view finder, my only complaint about the camera and what kept me from giving a 10. Very satisfied with this product.

Unexpectedly LOVE This Camera
by packersgirly on December 28, 2007
Pros: 12 megapixels for low price; large screen for viewing; incredibly easy to use; great features including low-light and video w/sound and in-camera editing; good zoom range
Cons: Would prefer thinner camera but would not sacrifice the 'Pros' to get it

Summary: I am shocked at how much I love this camera! It was an unexpected purchase; I was going to upgrade a Nikon of a similar variety to a Canon that had better zoom capability when I saw this on TV while flipping channels. I expected to try it, hate it and send it back but I absolutely love it and wouldn't trade it. I was able to take a picture of our family Christmas tree using only the bulbs on it for light and it came out so beautifully that I'm going to use it for cards next year. Great buy.

My niece has the z1275 too, as a matter of fact I saw hers and she took one picture that made me fall in love. We were in a pub and it was dark the picture was perfect. Need I say more?

Only Good on Paper

It has a fantastic 5x optical zoom and 12 megapixel resolution, but the images are all marred by noise even at the lowest ISO of 64. The quality is equivalent to that of a 9MP camera. When zoomed out, the problem is not as noticeable, so if you are willing to overlook this, this isn't a half bad camera. However, the "High ISO" is pretty much useless and nothing more than a gimmick.
The HD video looks great and is a definite plus. There is also a decent level of manual control.
Also, the firmware of the camera seems to have some major technical problems. When I used it the second time, the camera froze up while I was taking a picture. The camera required a restart and the memory card had been corrupted. Several other reviews have also mentioned this problem.
Overall, this camera looks good on paper, but is quite lacking when you use it. I would suggest the Kodak C875.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Great all around little carry in your pocket camera
by sberight on September 13, 2007
Pros: High quality photos, automatically selects best scene
Cons: None for this type of compact camera
Summary: I was really impressed by its ability to automatically select best scene (exposure) from
landscape to macro flower mode just based on focus. Photo quality is excellent.

Decent Pictures, bad video.
by andyandcait on February 16, 2009
Pros: View screen is a nice size. This camera has a lot of presets that make taking pictures in everything from bright snow outside to candlelight indoors a breeze. I've gotten some really nice shots up close as well.
Cons: The video is almost unusable. It is impossible to keep the camera steady enough to take video while holding the camera. I have to set the camera on a table or chair and even then, the slightest movement makes the video jump terribly.
Summary: This is a good camera for the money. I got it for $80 and I've been fairly happy. It has a lot of good features and takes good pictures ...
Summary: This is a good camera for the money. I got it for $80 and I've been fairly happy. It has a lot of good features and takes good pictures for the most part. I do get red-eye on about every third picture (even with the flash set to reduce red eye), which is annoying. However, the resolution is staggering and a majority of the pictures turn out good. I don't regret buying it, although if I had to do it again I may shop a bit more first. Simply because I use the video so much.

Amazing little camera!

Summary: This little camera is awesome! It has 12 megapixels, 5x optical zoom, 720p HD video recording, digital image stabilization, panoramic imaging, etc, etc. all for about $100!!! Yep, thats right; you can get one of these cameras for about $100 with shipping from ecostdotcom. I thought it was too good to be true, too and was a bit skeptical before I decided to order it. I was gladly proven wrong! The pictures this camera takes are nearly perfect. Some people I noticed complained about a lot of noise, but mine magically get rid of all the picture flaws seconds after its taken. You can even use Kodak's perfect touch technology to automatically fix lighting levels and stuff if they're a bit off. The HD video recording is amazing truly is HD quality. The video can get a little shaky, but as long as you've got a steady hand or a tripod, the quality is spectacular!
By the way, I pretty much only took a point off because the battery life isn't took great and only lasts a couple hours. Besides that, this camera is about as close to perfect as you can get!
