Just what I needed
by aaulbach on July 12, 2011
Pros: This camera is perfect from both a usability and a quality standpoint. Bought it used six months ago and it goes with me everywhere. Very easy to use when you don't have much time to get ready but want to get that quality shot.
Cons: So many features I am having a gard time learning and remembering.
Summary: All I need - my other cameras are looking for a little love. Worth every penny.

A beautiful product
by f0rtyLeGz on September 17, 2009
Pros: The D-Lux 4 is as simple or complicated as you want to make it, and offers a wide pallet of responses to any situation.
Cons: It took a while to get used to no viewfinder, but now it is second nature.
Summary: I often use a tripod and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have had mine for a year and a half, and know the D-Lux 4 pretty ...

Excellent "always on you" half-portable classy camera.
by raivostern on July 29, 2009
Pros: Macro-shots from unbelievably close (sub 1 cm), autofocus great, lots of manual settings, light, has RAW, sturdy body.
Cons: The lens cap needs getting used to, sometimes you may loose a great shot... Some manual features not so easy to understand/learn, lens with open cap gets easily greasy fingerprints...
Summary: Great camera after my stolen C-Lux2; love the additional (manual) functions and larger display. Completely worth its price.

Stealthy & versatile

Pros: Image quality, image quality & image quality
Cons: Feels cheap, no built-in lens cover

Summary: Image quality, particularly macro, is outstanding, really handy for stealthy food-blogging shots. People are more relaxed around point'n'shoots, which helps get candid shots I crave. The red dot and beautiful leather case give you pro cred when using professionally. Love it! Just ordered custom grip, but not factory, as it is too bulky.

Best Camera available for it's size and many slr's
by robbybad on June 18, 2009
Pros: This blew me away, I went in to replace a point and shoot that was damaged. I came out with this one wondering if I spent to much and was gladly assured by the images and quality of the camera that I made the right choice.
Cons: The cost was a bit extreme, and the raw format is a bit of a pain to download.
Summary: This camera hands down can replace many of my photo jobs that i use a digital slr for. The light capture and ambient images are simply amazing.
