Great for the price

Pros: compact, panorama capable, easy to work

Summary: I bought it as a budget camera. I broke my older camera on accident (only a 3.1 megapixel) and was in need of something inexpensive, but nice to use and reliable. This is of course a step up from 3.1 megapixels from the start. The editors review is true you need higher resolution to blow up photos, but, I don't typically need large prints just standard size. SO, for just a point a & shoot camera I love it. This camera is easy to use no problems from the start. One negative, I didn't like not having an eye view finder since in the dark I can't see the LCD screen image of what I'm taking a picture of. This camera is what it is. It is an inexpensive point and click camera. If you're looking for the Canon EOS's of the world this probably isn't for you, but if you're on a budget looking to take family photos for the album, I'd say go for it!

Great little camera -It Does The Job
by tedcantu on January 23, 2010
Pros: I like this camera, its good for quick jobs or if you need a fast image. Its effective and takes a relatively clean shot.
Cons: Picture can be a bit fuzzy at times, You have to retake the shot. The flash seems a little much at times and throws the color off.
Summary: I do graphic design work and have actually used this for professional reasons, (web site work as well as printed ad work) and it does the job nicely. You may ...

Good Pics-PICTURE TERRIBLE IDEO
by simeonl10 on October 9, 2008
Pros: I really loved how the camera does very wells in outdoor shooting. Laso, its compact size makes it perfect to take everywhere. I also love the simple and sute design. I love all the features too
Cons: VERY BAD VIDEO QUALITY. there tends to be an airconditioning sound in the backround, and the images comes out with visable pixels. the audio is very bad, also, and the pictures in low light are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE
Summary: Well, the nikon coolpix l10 is a great camera for people who go camping and take outdoor photos and take pics in bright light. this camera is an absolutely NONO ...

Pros: I felt good when I bought them for my entire family (8) who live across the country
Cons: 4 of 8 had the same failure and Nikon said no. I can harly pick up my D200 anylonger for disbelief in the Nikon name.
Summary: Purchased a Canin SD750 and SD790. Great cameras, quicker focus, start-ups, less blurred photos. MAybe Nikon did me a favor by moving me to Canon? A blessing! I'm replacing ...

Summary: I think this is a terrible camera. The delay is so long people get tired and think you're an idiot... you miss lots of good shots. Also the "lens stuck" error problem (of which I have found hundreds of questions, answers and discussions about) has rendered the camera unusable after about 6 months. It also ruined a 2 GB memory card after I downloaded the first batch of photos. I will go back to Canon.

Summary: Great cameras come from Nikon, but not this one. The flash metering is not the TTL metering I'm used to from Nikon, and it "whites out" everything if you are inside five feet. And you have to wait at least 5 seconds for recharge between shots. I bought it as a cheap camera for miy kids and it's fine from that, but I expected better from Nikon. I've had several Canon digital elf cameras, which are far superior.

Summary: I purchased this as a carry anywhere camera, but I was disappointed with the slow low light focusing and many times I could now get it to focus at all. It seems to work well outside in bright light ,I have an older HP m22 that focuses much faster in low light. When I say low light I am mainly talking about using it in doors.
