This camera is a solid choice.

Pros: Dust and water resistant. Easy to use and navigate thru the different modes. The still photo zoom is good. The color and sharpness of the stills are great. The recessed buttoms help to keep the camera from being turned on accidentally.
Cons: Short battery life? Zoomed videos were poor quality.

Summary: I bought this camera for work. My work can provide a great environment for testing the durability of electronic equipment (dust, moisture, shock, temperature). I use my camera primarily in basic operating modes and find the camera very easy to switch quickly between the stills and video. I ride an ATV most days and don't like to carry alot of stuff strapped to the ATV because the areas I go to really tear up equip and I don't like to wear a pack because of the extreme temps. So, I really like that I can clip this camera to my belt loop.
Normally we buy cameras that use only AA batteries because of the problems of getting to a location and you find that your battery is dead. But, reading reviews on this cameras ruggedness I wanted to try it. I used the camera for a few hours one day and had 2/3 of battery life left. That night I camped out in 15 degree temps and the next morning found that my battery was dead. So, I'm not sure if the cold sapped the battery or if I just got a bad battery (verdict is still out?). And, I can't tell you how well the camera operates in cold temps.I would recommed this camera...., but don't pay full price!
