Summary: Bought this camera at walmart about 3 years ago. Used it for at least a year and a half. The only time it was out of commission was when I held it up high to take a picture of my grandpa's cake and him opening his presents and unfortunately there was a ceiling fan. Smacked the camera out of my hand, into the wall. Got it replaced at walmart. I have to say its size is one of the best qualities about it. Easy to use, definitely. Its got a few good features.. which if you mess around with them can definitely be to your advantage. Taking close up pictures, with good quality, as long as you've got it on one of the good settings it'll focus pretty well. Flash works good, as with all digital cameras (unless you buy one for 2000) there's going to be some delay, but you eventually get the feel of it and know when to press the button. I took thousands and thousands of pictures with this camera. The rechargable battery is definitely a good thing, saves a ton of money on replacement batteries. It can take a decent beating, but not ceiling fan-to-wall-to-floor.. that'll kill it. I had a couple friends who had sony cameras, fujifilm, I think, and panasonic. Theirs cost more and have better reputations... but when comparing the pictures, the quality I got compared to theirs.. almost always the pictures I took were much better. I haven't had a camera for about a year, my sanyo was stolen.. I've just now started looking for a new camera, and the first thing I thought of was EBay.. Waiting on the auction to end right now so I can get a new one of these. In comparison to what's out there now, I don't really see why I need 30 megapixels.. heh.. Unless I was planning on making posters.. that's really not necessary, and this camera is better than decent.

VERY CHEAP Camera, dont buy!
by unsatisfied411 on July 28, 2009
Pros: I should have known you get what you paid for!! This might as well be a disposable camera! It lasted just as long as one!!!
Cons: It stopped working after only 6 months and that is because we only used it a couple of times. We have 2 other cameras that we take with us every where we go, but this one was small and thought we would try it. Big Mistake!!
Summary: From now on I am staying away from ALL Sanyo products. It is going to cost me more to repair than what I paid for the camera..........Lesson Learned.

Unexplained LCD crash
by chiefsmacktalker on April 19, 2009
Pros: Initially, when the product functioned properly, it served its purpose as a starter camera. The compact size was perfect for smaller hands, easy to operate, with many features that simply complemented this device.
Cons: Shortly after purchasing the camera the LCD simply crashed. All of the other functions still seem to operate, but nothing on the LCD viewer. This makes it extremely difficult to capture any good shots.
Summary: This device was supposed to be a good investment, which turned out to be a disappointment. When a device malfunctions in such a way that the consumer has no recourse, ...

Pros: Easy to use, Interface is easy to navigate, great battery life. Great Price!
Cons: Digital Zoom isn't the greatest, could have a little better picture quality.

Summary: My g/f had this camera for a year. She let me use it all the time. Before her camera I hadn't used one for years and I picked this up and was able to figure it out with no problem. For a digital camera its pretty durable, She dropped it several times.. Unfortunately the ONE time I dropped it, it landed on the lens and it did break. Told her I'd buy her a new camera and she insisted on the same exact one since she loved it so much.
I'm going to buy my mother one of these for Christmas because Wal-mart is having such a great deal on it right now. 69.00 with a 2G SD Card Included!
Highly recommended for a first camera, or just a cheap easy to use one. -
