Great Camera
by bjanice44 on March 11, 2010
Pros: 7x zoom, low light clarity, 720p video. Uses sdhc or memory stick. Takes great photos in a compact size.
Cons: I wish it had a touch screen.

Summary: This camera has great features, 7x optical zoom is great, the 3"LCD is bright, the controls are intuitive. The 370 has many settings to cover almost all types of skill levels. The intelligent mode which recognizes scenes well. I have seen some reviews where people said the low light shooting was poor...These reviews are wrong. These people evidently do not know how to adjust the settings correctly for low light use. I took some fantastic shots in a room with very low light using the iso 3200 setting...This camera is very good in low light. Infact it is one of its strengths. Overall this is a great camera.

by fitboss1 on November 22, 2010
Pros: I got it FREE because i had an extended break warranty but my other Sony was far better.
Cons: slow to power up slow to focus slow to snap pic. and when it finally does the pics are blurry and the HD video when zooming it does not focus.
Summary: over all this is NOT a good cam.

Bought to replace Canon, VERY disappointed
by jsnow0 on November 27, 2011
Pros: Great outdoor still pictures, good close up shots for use on eBay
Cons: Poor low-light pictures
No view finder
Slow Shutter Speed
Constantly refocusing video produces HORRIBLE footage
Proprietary Battery
Digital Zoom beyond 7.0 is worthless
Too many adjustments required for best pics
No printed manual only CDSummary: I bought this camera to replace my Canon Powershot that had a failed imager. I loved, loved, LOVED my Canon. I used to just think that I hadn't found ...
Summary: I bought this camera to replace my Canon Powershot that had a failed imager. I loved, loved, LOVED my Canon. I used to just think that I hadn't found the right settings yet and tried to be patient with it, but after the pictures and video I took of the F-22 Raptor at an air show came out so poorly, I gave up. Thankfully, there was a little known flaw in the older Canon cameras, so was actually able to get my Canon fixed. I take better pictures and video w/ my 5.0 MP Canon than I ever will with this camera. Part of that is because the Canon has an old fashioned view finder, something you won't find on today's small cameras, including this one. I've just decided that I'm going to graduate to a digital SLR and keep the old Canon for quickie point and shoots. One of my brothers is getting this for Christmas, since he's not nearly the shutterbug I am and won't be trying to take air show pictures with it.

Nice size, generally good images obtained

Panorama was fun, but overall poor quality.
by Gossamer_B on March 18, 2011
Pros: Good Panorama
Cons: Difficult to use. Most pictures mediocre. Action shots were impossible. Not even remotely rugged.

Summary: I used it for about 3 months then gave up trying to take decent pictures. I shoot SLR's normally, so i know what I want to do but trying to pull a decent action shot out of this was very frustrating..I let my daughter use it for about 8 months, then the zoom quit working. Now the lens doesn't seem to want to initialize. It keeps extending then retracting, then says turn power off then on. Next time, I'll put a little more money into a point and shoot, or stick with my SLR's. my advice with this one, If you like the panorama mode..its great, when not used for such, keep it in a hermetically sealed velvet lined box. Then, maybe, it'll last for a while.

Dont' buy this camera
by crowls69 on February 12, 2011
Pros: I liked the weight and size
Cons: It goes through batteries too fast. I sent it in to Sony with that complaint and they said they adjusted it and sent it back and it was still going through batteries too fast. I sent it back to Buydig.com and bought a Nikon S8100.
Summary: poor shutter speed.slow lag time. Very poor battery time.

Keep your old Cybershot
by asphalt68man on January 8, 2011
Pros: Panaroma photo feature works well, image quality is reasonably good, form factor is nice
Cons: Too many menus/settings and you will spend more time finding the right settings than you will taking photos and enjoying the moment, heavy, s-l-o-w in every regard, flash is too bright in many cases and tends to "white out" a lot within 5-ft
Summary: Would not buy this camera if I could do it again. Mainly because I spend too much time flipping through the menus to find the settings that I want to ...
Summary: Would not buy this camera if I could do it again. Mainly because I spend too much time flipping through the menus to find the settings that I want to change. By that time, the photo op is lost - or my patience!!! Okay camera for the price, but I think I could do better. I didn't research it enough, but rode on the very high satisfaction of the Cybershot DSC W80 that I've had for the past four years. It was still working and had taken 1000's of pictures - I dropped and broke the display - and it actually still works, I just can't see what I'm taking a pic of through the display...anyone got a good DSC W80 they want to trade for a new DSC W370??
