excellent product

Pros: This unit is great! plays about any file type. Easy to follow on screen menus. I have only had two lock ups that required me to reboot the system. For the price this is a fantastic unit. Bought a second one as gift for a family member.
Cons: The remotes a little cheesy.

Great concept but poor function

Pros: It connects to the internet . Allows you to access pictures and movies without the use of a computer. Plays music while looking at albums. It connects to a few internet sites
Cons: It is very touchy . Just to get it to work I needed to install multiple upgrades. The program that allows you to access it via your laptop doesn't work. Ive installed multiple versions of it and my computer will not recognize the multimedia player.

Summary: Ive been able to connect it to the TV and look through the menus only 4 time before it froze. Ive done hard resets, depowered , try to connect it to my computer to fix it. But it comes on for 5 seconds and then the screen goes black. When connected to the computer you need a few hours to fidgit with it many times to maybe see what in the files . The Iomega website isnt helpful. There are no new patches to help get this thing to work. Its a great concept that just has some horrible software that struggles to work at all. This thing is obviously rushed to market.

Pros: Plays any vid file , it goes on youtube and I really like the mediafly app on it as well .. I now can have my favorite pod cast downloaded automatically to my screenplay for later viewing which is nice as well . there are many other pros . honestly to man
Cons: Um , the remote takes some getting used to but since im used to it now it is now in the pros catagory . CON: it's kinda still in beta ' like youtube " and it does have a app for hulu ' just in beta i believe ' seems like it will be perfected later with a

Close to perfect

Pros: *Plays every type of fileI've thrown at it. Read other places it cant play BluRay rips? I haven't had that issue.
*EASY to use! My wife and kids can use it.
*Fast file XFers = Replaced my old NAS..
*Audio out = BEST anywhere..
Cons: *Keyboard seems gimicky so far, might be useful whith future software updates?
*No Hulu program?
Price a little high? Should've left out the wirelss adapter to lower price, or build it in.

I've never been more satified with a product. Go buy one..
