The good: The WD TV Live features industry-leading format support and built-in Wi-Fi. Its broad selection of streaming services includes Spotify, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, and Pandora, among many others. The interface is friendly, and video and sound quality are as good as you'd expect.
The bad: The best streaming channels require paid subscriptions or pay-per-view fees. There's no support for Amazon Instant. The remote buttons are rubbery, and the onscreen keyboard is a pain to use. DLNA support is spotty, and the software still has a few bugs to iron out.
The bottom line: The WD TV Live (2011) offers a solid combination of must-have streaming services and excellent USB and network file support, making it one of the best devices of its kind available for under $100.

They need to fire their firmware team

Pros: When it works it works well. Just don't upgrade the firmware.
Cons: The past version of this product was plagued by absolutely awful firmware upgrades. Each version created a host of problems for users - myself included. Recently WD extended their horrible firmware failure rate to the MyBook World I use to store videos fo

Pros: good quality video/audio
Cons: firmware upgrades stop when next version of unit comes out, firmware team lied about working on updates of firmware, remote provided with unit very unreliable...

Pretty poor piece of technology for the price.

Pros: Very few pros. It plays media files from USB ok, and that's about it.
Cons: Pretty poor piece of technology for the price. Its limited, slow, has a very user unfriendly keyboard (not Qwerty) and poor interface .
Compare this with other Media/Blue Ray players, eg Philips or Sony Blue Ray players that have most of these media play
Summary: A waste of money, I only wish I had kept the receipt and taken it back to the store.
