  Summary: I received this frame as a Christmas gift. 2 months later it crashed. I was told to send it in for repair or replacement. At first told that my model was no longer available, but it would be replaced with a different model, still with email capability. Waited 3 full weeks, didn't receive the replacement or hear anything. Called back again, was told I could receive a refund if I wanted. When I asked about a replacement I was sent a list of possible options for the replacement....NONE of which has the email to frame capability! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

  Are you kidding me...

  Pros: "Easy upload": upload various ways, USB stick, various SIM cards, internet, FB, e-mail (which friends can also e-mail to).

  Cons: Can't connect the unit to a computer via cable. Can't connect on a MS network. Can't do most functions without WiFi. Can't reset to factory defaults without WiFi. Can't review multiple files from the frame or delete more than one at a time.

  Summary: Cons definitely outweigh the pros.

  All useful settings must be done via WiFi.
  Can't connect the unit to a computer via cable.
  Can't connect WiFi on a MS network (so don't bother taking it to your workplace)
  Can't set energy savings times on the unit. And once set via WiFi can't change without WiFi.
  Can't reset to factory defaults without WiFi.
  Can't update BIOs without WiFi
  Can't review multiple files from the frame to delete en-mass.
  Can't delete multiple files via WiFi at once.
  Pictures loaded via card / USB can't be seen from online, so can't be managed without going through website / WiFi for uploads.
  
  I bought the 7" unit to take to work. I figured going with the touchscreen and the power friendly would be more eco-friendly. It's been nothing but trouble at work. Can't deal with a MS network (needs direct WEP or similar password) - no ability to put in a user name / pswd. The help claims that it is motion / sound / light sensor equipped if you don't set up the timer via the web. Apparently not since I don't have any option for that on the web, and have tested / confirmed that it doesn't actually do that. And since there is no battery backup system, if I set it up at home and take it to work I have my pictures, but the power settings don't work.
  
  Should have just bought a cheaper unit with good old fashioned buttons.

  Completely frustrated

  Pros: Great concept, easy to setup and use.

  Cons: Constantly fails and must be reinitialized. No online backups of photos or retrievable accounts.

  Summary: I bought three of these, set them up at home and shipped them to my parents and in-laws for Christmas. The whole point of buying one of these frames is for the remote access capability right? Well don't be fooled, Kodak does not backup any of the photos you upload to the frames and this is the THIRD time all of my online accounts and photos have been deleted, no way to retrieve them, all of my photos that I sent to the frame via email and/or uploaded online via their "simple" website are gone. For the third time now I have to start over from scratch, re-initialize the frames and start over, no more photos. I have to call my parents/in-laws and try to walk them through resetting the frames and creating a brand new account. I don't understand why Kodak does not backup the account or photos? This is as bad as uploading your photos to an online share site and going back the next day and they're gone, unable to retrieve them. Lets say your friends and family also send photos to the frame via Kodak's touted "email directly to the frame" functionality, GONE! Or you are at Disneyland with your kids, take a few photos with your phone and email them to your parents frames, better make a backup because Kodak doesn't. This is a horrible design. I still can't get over the fact that Kodak cannot retrieve my account, no backups? Really? This is 2011.

  I am sorry to inform you that there are no ways to retrieve the photos which are already uploaded in the website as there are no back-up for these files.
  
  I realized that this may not be the news that you were hoping to hear as I understand how valuable these photos are. However, we can only suggest that you save a copy of these photos in your computer moving forward, should you need to upload them back to the frame again. For pictures which were sent by you friends or family members via email,
  we also recommend that you ask them to send a copy of these emails to your personal email (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) as well, from now on.

  Great Email/WiFi means easy sharing pics with family!

  Summary: Bought one for my mom, she loves it; bought one for my in-laws, they love it; then I really wanted one too. Cost may seem a little high as first but the real value comes from its built-in WiFi and its own email address WITHOUT a monthly charge. Perfect for smart phones and instant sharing. Size is a tad small...really would prefer to have a larger size given I'm dedicating this to the family room for the whole family to share in. Picture uploads can take around 15 minutes but I think the reason may be that it also optimizes (read: downsizes) pictures to ensure you can really store the advertised 4000 pictures it's supposed to be able to hold. In a perfect world I'd also like to be able to get the pictures off the frame (or service website) to print up myself.
  Regardless of my few nitpics...I love this frame as I can instantly share moments when out and about taking pics with my smart phone with loved ones far away.
