Pandigital 8.0-inch Frame (Black) price range: $94.19

The good: This attractively designed Pandigital digital photo frame has a bright, relatively sharp 8-inch diagonal display, 64MB of built-in memory, plus slots for virtually all memory card types, as well as USB connectivity for computers and thumbdrives. The frame also supports MP3 and video playback (there are built-in speakers on the back) and ships with a small remote control and a second interchangeable frame to customize the frame's look.
The bad: The built-in speakers sound very tinny; when transferring photos to the display's internal memory, images aren't automatically resized to the size of the display to reduce file sizes; and the interchangeable frames aren't as easy to swap on and off as they should be.
The bottom line: The Pandigital 8-inch digital photo frame may not have built-in Wi-Fi, but it does deliver a pretty sharp-looking picture, has a fairly straightforward interface, and support for video and audio playback, which makes it an all-around solid digital photo frame.

Nice picture and user friendly. Works great for me.

Pros: Good price and nice picture. Easy to setup for viewing pictures.
Cons: Slideshow can't display pictures from mulitple sources at once. Slideshow won't pause or go back.

Summary: I was happy with the purchase. I thought the picture quality was very nice, but probably could find one at a higher price with a better picture. I modified all of my pics so that will be 800 x 600 and it handled them very nicely.
Only a couple of small issues. During the picture slide show mode, it looks as though you can only display pictures from one source at a time. So if you have pictures on both the internal memory and a CF card, the slide show only shows pics from one source. Not really a big deal. Remote fits in the CF slot, don't think there is room for a card and then the remote on top of that. During picture slideshow mode if you see a picture you want to pause on, I couldn't figure out how to pause the slide show or go back to a previous picture. I needed to use the remote and view the pictures manually which isn't that hard.7 out of 7 users found this user opinion helpful.

Excellent buy!
by austinlisa on February 5, 2007
Pros: Great picture quality, display size, and features.
Cons: Minimal-Matt could have been made to remove (and replace), housing for remote should be somewhere other than CF card slot. Removing back from frame is diffucult (can pop out with a paperclip).

Summary: Love the 8” PanDigital Photo Frame!(and I’ve done quite a bit of research). Here’s the scoop on frames… The 5” ones are too small (unless you live in a cubicle), the 7” ones are in widescreen format (16:9 aspect ratio) – which is a ridiculous format for photos (everybody’s short and fat). That leaves the 8”, 9”, and up. In my opinion, don’t bother with anything under 8”. The PanDigital (which I bought at CompUSA for $149) is definitely the best value for the money. Really nice display size, quality (even compared to the 9” Philips – which is $100 more & doesn’t have a remote), and features. The fact that the frame allows for random viewing of the slide show is a big plus. I’ve seen complaints about this feature missing in other frames. At first, I thought the remote didn’t work, but I discovered that you can’t press the button with just your fingernail. You have to use the pad of your finger and cover the button completely. After figuring that out, I’m able to use the remote up to 22 feet away! I stopped measuring after that. (Could this be the problem others have experienced saying you have to use the remote a few inches from the frame?) I like the two frame choices included (my second frame is black acrylic-unlike your picture). They could have made it easy to remove the matt inside to replace with others, but they didn’t. I did have to exchange the frame once due to an occasional mild horizontal flutter (or shaking) in the photos. Don’t know what causes that, but it would stop after awhile. Hopefully the new one won’t have this issue. I can’t speak to the video, speaker quality, or mp3 aspects, as I did not buy it for those purposes. However, for pure digital photo display, it’s a great buy!
Updated
I don’t use the internal memory at all, so I can’t speak to that either. I prefer displaying more photos, so I have them on a CF card or flash drive. (It takes 2 seconds to add or delete photos on these devices.)5 out of 6 users found this user opinion helpful.

by sanddrs on September 21, 2007

Product died in front of my face, picture went bad.
by RobOks on June 28, 2011
Pros: While it worked it was nice.
Cons: Not a good value, should last forever, its digital. Got it for Christmas, so it was 6 months used.
Summary: Do not buy spend some money on a product that will last, put this company out of the digital frame business by not buying this one.

Absolute Garbage- A waste of your Time and Money
by shaire99 on December 2, 2007
Pros: The few things about it that work correctly are OK and the images are just fine when you can get them to display.
Cons: Malfunctions at almost every level. The slideshow function only displays a few of what you select, sound is awful and tinny and the function is cumbersome and futile.

Summary: This Product is Garbage. I just returned the second one I bought after believing the first one must have been defective. The second was just as bad as the first but in some different respects. The slideshow, if it works at all, never ever displays more than about 12 photos and then starts over at the beginning. The 'shuffle' doesn't even come close to working. Every time you have to start over or pick another picture, the music starts over at the beginning every single time. A truly terrible product and I don't want people wasting their time with it as I did.

I have been trying to get a Pandigital Digital Photo Frame to work for several days now - quite unsuccessfully. I understand that you may sell this product and I would like to inform you that, based on my experience, this product is a piece of junk. In my experience the product doesn't work; the documentation supplied with it is full of errors and omissions; and the technical support provided is ineffective and totally useless. Based on my personal experience I would advise anyone/everyone to stay very far away from the Pandigital Digital Photo Frame product. It is a piece of junk based on my experience.
Sincerely yours,

by jamiebraman on August 8, 2012
Pros: Worked fine for 9 months. Easy to use. Then poof! Screen goes black and software stops working. And now there is no way to retrieve all the photos I had painstakingly loaded.

Summary: Customer Service told me that I should just buy new ones to replace the 2 of 4 - so far - that no longer work after a little over 2 years. They said it was only going to cost $60 each to replace them but it is actually $100 each. I asked if I should give them another $200 for a product they do not support and they hung up on me.
Worthless company and product. -

by scalison on May 11, 2010
Pros: I have the 10.5" model. It is a nice frame, worked great until....
Cons: The power cord failed. It was still under warranty so after several phone calls, emails, etc to Pandigital, I was told I would have a new cord in a week. It has now been 6 mos and my frame stis dead on the wall. They say they don't have any.
Summary: I have once again contacted them and have gotten the same bs reply. I said either take on out a a new box, or send me a new frame. Don'...

Crap Product
by ecmoore on January 20, 2010
Pros: Fun while it lasted...3 hours.
Cons: The first frame I got was totally cracked. Took it back and got a new frame. I downloaded pictures, turned it on for about 3 hours last night. When I went to turn it on again today, it flat out doesn't work. Tech Support said Take it back to Costco.
Summary: Product sucks. 2 bad experiences with 2 different frames within 24 hours. Lousy product, terrible tech support. Support...what support? I got none.
