The Bottom Line	This set is the new standard against which all other direct-view HDTVs will be measured.	This is the reference standard for picture quality among direct-view HDTVs and happens to be a great value.	This set is a major improvement over earlier Sony 34-inch models in terms of both performance and price.	One of the top-performing 34-inch, direct-view HDTVs gets a different name and a lower price.	Sony's massive 40-incher performs like a champ and costs more than a semester at a state college.
