2 strikes and I'm out
by soulemom on July 13, 2009
Pros: Very quiet dishwasher. Clean and sleek inside and out. Lots of extra holders and containers for silver and stemware. Adjustable racks. Computer pad on top disappears under the counter when closed. Blue light alerts you to when it is all done.
Cons: Tines too close together so you wind up stacking dishes so close together that they don't get clean. With the electronic face plate on top, you can accidentally press it when open and change your settings or turn it to sabbath mode, off.

Summary: I bought one from lowes and after only a few months, I got an error code of 01 which means leak detected underneath. We had a tech out and he didn't know what to do. We took it back to Lowes for a full refund and went elsewhere for another of the same make and model. Now we have had it for almost 1 year and I again got and error code of 01. It was in fact leaking. Again! When we pulled it out and tipped it back, putrid smelling water poured out of the encased plastic that covers all the pumps. A tech again came out and said he will have to replace all the pumps and connections. I am not happy to say the least. It was still under manufacturers warranty but I don't want a dishwasher that I can't count on. I would not recommend this dishwasher, I would recommend a cheaper one with less complex connectors and computers. Less to go wrong.

A low end machine high end priced.

Summary: Equipped the entire kitchen 2009 with E-lux appliances. I have never understood the control panel. Seems the plastic on top is too hard and buttons difficult to push. In July 2012 the washer fills and then ejects the water. Repairman suspected the control board since the error code lights did not light up. Bought a new control board but now there is an indication that the wash pump is out of order. The new control boars can be operated only without the cover. If cover is on I can only push on and normal mode.
It seems I have been lucky that the machine has been operating for 3 years. I have invested 65 dollars for repairman to check machine + 105 in a new control board. Now the indicator calls for a motor/pump at another 110 dollars so it might be better buying something more reliable than throwing money in what seems to be a black hole. -
All looks, no substance.
by coneill212 on June 8, 2012
Pros: Quietest I've ever owned.
Cons: Stinks along with mildew buildup inside, 3 service calls in less than two years.

Summary: Sadly, I have to agree with almost all that is stated here. Bought mine from Lowe's in 2010. Three times we've had error code 01 issues. Motherboard replaced, etc/ but worst of all, it just doesn't clean the dishes, and gets filthy inside, which transfers onto the glasses and dishes. Now I know that having the phosphates removed from the detergents hasn't helped things, but even using the recommended "cleaner-softener" Lemi-Shine hasn't made all that much difference. Paid a lot of money for this machine but not worth it, and feel foolish now. At least it's very quiet while not cleaning the dishes. Def get the warranty like I did.

Do not waste your money!

Summary: We've had this dishwasher for ~3 years, and had problems from the start. First, the display didn't work properly and it was replaced with a new one after a month. Then, we had the same recurring Error 01 issue reported by others here; this always seemed to happen when we least needed it to.
None of the Sears technicians we called out could fix it. The only option was to leave it to dry out for 2-3 days and hope for the best.
Now it has an Error 03, which means the pump is broken, so we are replacing it with a Bosch. We are simply not willing to waste the time and energy on it any more.
Never again will we buy an Electrolux appliance. It's over-priced, unreliable junk. -
Electrolux - worst dishwasher ever !

Summary: Had this for a year or so. The controls are constantly going into spasm mode (lots of blinking lights). Solution? turn off the power for a long time. turn it back on and hope ... this was the recommended solution from two separate service repair operations. Recomendation now that all hope is lost? call Electrolux and try to get some relief. Sure.... Going out to buy a new Kitchen-aid today.

Stay away from this one!
by jytuioopo on February 21, 2011
Pros: Quiet & it looks good.
Cons: You better buy the extended warranty package or a tool kit.
Summary: Keeps breaking down. The first 3 call were because of a leaking door seal. Finally fixed that with a retrofit kit but now the door closes hard.

Now I am dealing with a faulty control panel and have to keep unplugging the machine for 2 days before it resets for one load. I am going to attempt to repair this one myself as it is getting costly to keep having the service guy at my house.
I expect the pump to go on me next as others are stating this is an issus as well. -
HORRIBLE USELESS MACHINE
by pauperbearer on January 27, 2011
Pros: I was drawn to this dishwasher because of the sleek look, hidden control panel, promise of a quieter machine that cleaned better than any other. Having a blue light indicater to let you know the cycle ws complete
Cons: never cleaned anything placed on the top or the bottom rack unless you prewashed them, error 1 message appears weekly shutting down the dishwasher , blue light on the bottom never worked properly went on while the dishwasher was running.

Summary: In the 18 months of owening this machine I had 10 service calls where the pump was replaced, the motor replaced, a new mothertboard replaced, new arm mechanism replaced and it stilled didnt work, they had removed the dishwasher from beneath my countertop so many times that they couldnt in the end bolt it in because they had mad the holes under the countertop too big!!
thank goodness we bought the extended warranty from Leons who ended up refunded 80% of the cost to be used towards a new dishwasher (but only afrter we threatehed to sue them for not living up to the warranty..NEVER BUY AT LEONS) so now we are waiting for the new dishwasher to be installed and this lemon of a machine to be hauled out. -
Worst dishwasher ever
by kagawong on October 27, 2010
Pros: Quiet. Mind you someone told me it is only quiet because it doesn't work.
Cons: Doesn't clean dishes. Keeps coming up with an error code 01 which will not allow you to run the machine at all until a serviceman comes in.
Summary: Had to have a repairman constantly. Finally Sears allowed me to return it and gave me a credit for 2/3 the original price. Had the error 01 message. they ...
Summary: Had to have a repairman constantly. Finally Sears allowed me to return it and gave me a credit for 2/3 the original price. Had the error 01 message. they replaced the computer system the first time. Cleaned it out the second time. Though I rinse my dishes the repairman told me that I should wash first. I thought that was what a dishwasher was for. On one of the trips they said the pump was not working properly and when they took it apart they found it was only being held by half the screws. This was the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. Do not purchase this dishwasher. I also have an electrolux microwave that is literally falling apart due to the plastic tabs they use. There must be a quality problem with this company. I will never by their products again. I will also never buy appliances from Sears again.

Leak detector disables unit.
by Quadinaros on July 1, 2010
Pros: Quiet!
Adjustable racks are convenient
Cleans ok, but nothing to write home aboutCons: Unreliable, leaks, apparently a very common occurrence with this unit. Most techs seem clueless about this unit. We are finally waiting on a part, hopefully it's the right one.
Summary: Wait until Electrolux gets some better quality control and an updated model, or buy something else.

Not what I expected for the Money
by lesliekos on February 1, 2010
Pros: Looked great at first. Like the adjustable top rack. IQ touch pad is hidden whcih I like...so my 3-year old can not turn it on as easily. Very Quiet.
Cons: Capacity is NOT what I expected, prong to small.
Does not get unrinsed dishes clean.
The stainlesss-steel front does not clean well and I don't use chemicals to clean my appliances
Does not get dishes dry, damp
The customer service NOT GOODSummary: After owning for almost a year I have had several service calls and now waiting on my second new one.
Even when I first received this dishwasher and it worked ...Summary: After owning for almost a year I have had several service calls and now waiting on my second new one.
In one year of owning I have had pump replaced twice, lines replaces, keypad replaced and now the "BRAIN" is out and can not be repaired. Am now handwashing dishes once again until new one comes...NOT GOOD
Even when I first received this dishwasher and it worked the way it was supposed to, it never lived up to it's features and what I thought I was getting for a $1000 dishwasher. If you do decided to purchase this do NOT use Eco-friendly liquid det. in this, it will leave a film all over your dishes and if any leaks out onto your inside door it will stain it. I also recommend purchasing an extended service warranty.
