  Great, latest version fixes all flaws in older reviews

  Summary: I bought my stand from Frys Electronics around June 2010. The box did not indicate any of the improvements, but the product did. Users of the stand had complained the hole in the back was too small for a dvi cable, this has been fixed, the hole is now approx 2-1/4". Another user had complained that they had to remove the laptop to open the lid - this too has been fixed.
  
  Overall a nice stand that looks great, feels solid and all but disappears when you set the laptop on it.
  
  The best two things about it are the increased desk space and better ergonomics of using the laptop with an external keyboard. I didn't think I would like the angle, but it proved to be just fine and is really helpful for the times when I need to type something quickly on the macbook

  Great looking, solidly built stand for Macbook...

  Pros: - Solidly built, made of single piece of aluminum
  - Looks like it was made by Apple
  - Simplistic design, but extremely useful (screams of Apple)
  - Macbook fits securely on deck
  - All ports accessible
  - Rubber protectors hold notebook in place well

  Cons: - Cable routing hole in back of stand is too small to fit a VGA or DVI cable through
  - A little steep on the price

  Summary: Ultimately, I covered the product pretty well in my pros and cons. This stand would work with just about any notebook, not just the Macbook. I own a 13" Macbook (Late 2008 version, last white mid-range model) and it fits like a charm. It places the Macbook at just about eye-level and has much less strain on my eyes. All ports are accessible. The only thing that may be a problem for last-generation Macbook Pro owners is the front-facing DVD loading of that model. I think there would be enough room to fit the disc into the slot, but I'm not sure. It compliments the Macbook line well as it's made out of what looks like to be the same Aluminum of the current Macbook line. I hope to upgrade to the current line in the future. :)
  
  Overall, GREAT stand. A little steep on the price, but you get what you pay for.

  The perfect stand for MacBook and MacBook Pro

  Pros: I like the fact that it matches the exact texture and color of the aluminum used in the new MacBooks. It's has a very solid and rigid construction that I think could easily survive any amount of daily abuse.

  Cons: Can adjust the height or angle, also if you use DVI, it doesn't seem like the hole in the back is big enough. (this isn't a problem with the new Mini DisplayPort)

  Summary: This product is stable, organizes your cables, and looks great with any MacBook Pro. The glaring omission is Rain Design's failure to cut out a small opening in the support bar for the laptop lid push-release button. This means that EVERY time you want to open your MacBook Pro when it's in the mStand you have to lift up the whole laptop, push the release button, and then set it down again in the mStand.

  Because you have to raise the entire laptop up and down every time you want to press the lid release button, the adhesive bumpers that protect the finish of the laptop case from getting scratched loosen up and fall off. Not good.
