The good: Color e-book reader with vibrant 7-inch touch screen; zippy performance; built-in Wi-Fi; Barnes & Noble Nookbook store; 8GB onboard memory, plus microSD expansion slot; built-in Web browser works well; supports PDF, Word, and ePub files; displays images and some video formats; support for audio and MP3 playback; new Nook apps expand functionality of the device and make it more of a full-featured tablet; Flash support for Web browser.
The bad: Eight hours battery life for reading pales in comparison with battery life on e-ink readers; no access to full Android Market; battery isn't user-replaceable; processor could be faster.
The bottom line: Barnes & Noble's Nook Color is a capable color touch-screen e-book reader that offers much of the functionality of an Android tablet for half the price of an iPad.

Out of warranty -> out of luck

Pros: Barnes and Noble's lack of a repair service for nooks means that if/when your nook develops a problem after its warranty period, it will still make a pretty good paperweight.
Cons: Once your nook is out of warranty Barnes and Nobel won't (adamantly won't) do anything for you. On the plus side if you talk to B&N support people you will get to hear the word "unfortunately" more often than you have ever before heard it.
Summary: Barnes and Noble is mired in a tradition of exquisitely bad customer service. This tradition continues in the nook product line.

Unless u r a computer Geek, not an easy item to use

Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Where 2 start: to sensitive to touch, no clear directions, battery life, overall the entire product is not an easy task.

A nicely packaged color eReader/Tablet

Pros: Read ebooks, Magazine, newspaper, and kid books.
Able to run other apps and games and browser.
Attractive pricing.
Cons: More apps and games built-in would be great.

Summary: I have a product that can not be used because Barnes and Noble server is not working. So all I hear from customer service is to be patient and it should be working by Monday afternoon. So I have a $250.00 product that can not be used and Barnes and Noble will not any compensation to their customers. So after 2-days/6 hours of trouble / and 2 hours of phone calls. I think the Nook is going back to the store tomorrow!!!!
