Do NOT BUY this product, the glass screen will shatter!
by dbeau75 on June 14, 2011
Pros: Relatively easy to navigate. Picks up wireless signal fairly well.
Cons: Customer service is horrid. Tablet is heavy and the glass screen is VERY cheap and breakable.
Summary: I have nothing but awful things to say about the cheap, very breakable screen on the Pandigital eReader. After our first one shattered without even knowing it happened, we went ...
Summary: I have nothing but awful things to say about the cheap, very breakable screen on the Pandigital eReader. After our first one shattered without even knowing it happened, we went out and bought a second one only to have it happen again THAT NIGHT. Granted this time it tumbled off the nightstand, but it was only 30" down to a carpeted floor. When I called customer service they were not interested in helping me in any way. Not only that, but she said that because the glass is installed through a "third party vendor" they do not even know where to send it for repair - what a joke! It is a poor design backed by ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE and I will NEVER buy another product from this company again. Apparently their motto is take the $$$ and run.

This product is truly not worth the money
by secretariate1 on December 27, 2011
Pros: Good for reading books, however being an android based device, nothing android will work on this. By the way, you can forget about technical support it's rediculous.
Cons: Nothing android will work on this device. Customer service is virtually nonexistant and after 35 mins I felt like I was talking to "Peggy", even the SD card function won't work, it tells me to delete some applications, there is nothing on the SD card
Summary: Overall, if you just want to read books or surf the internet, I suppose it is worth the money, however, I was expecting a bit more being an android based ...
Summary: Overall, if you just want to read books or surf the internet, I suppose it is worth the money, however, I was expecting a bit more being an android based device. So far, I have not been able to find an android app that is compatible with the Pandigital Black. I will not recommend this to anyone and am looking to either the nook or kindle

Save your money, don't buy this.
by ChristineinLA on October 29, 2012
Pros: Just about none.
Cons: For an e-reader, it is unreliable, and difficult to use.

Summary: I wanted just for reading books. Sometimes it works, most times, not well. Turning pages, by swiping your finger, sometimes works, sometimes only after multiple attempts. This is a replacement model for me, as first one didn't work and company would only replace, not refund, even with a receipt. Now, it turns itself off if power gets below about half. So I can use it by never turning it off, and plugging it into power constantly. Sent an e-mail to customer service about this 2 weeks ago, and still haven't received a response. Customer service via telephone might be harder than getting through to the President! Stay away from this. I am going to get a real e-reader, not a complete disappointment like this.

Basically a good Tablet for a High-school aged kid.
by MaxTindall on August 26, 2012
Pros: Light, Portable, Cheap, and workable.
Cons: A Sluggish processer, 6hr battery life, and NO tech support makes this a bad buy for a serious tablet user.
Summary: I would recommend this to someone young as a starter. It works ok for the price and does enough to be useful in some way.

Slow, Closed, Crummy, Not Usable
by thepughman on July 9, 2012
Pros: Bought it for $50
Screen is good enough for reading and simple browsing.Cons: Operation over WiFi is so slow it is NOT usable (Not sure if its the low-grade processor or low-grade WiFi card or both)
Pandigital is homepage and cannot access URL line to go elsewhere.
Internet only accessible through google search, and VERY slow.Summary: If you just use B&N to read books, then this is for you, but be sure you have really good eyesight to compensate for the low resolution and ...

All I wanted to do is install an Android-bridge app I need to install my Android app from my IDE. It works like a charm on my Android phone, but Pandigital thought it best to get in the way ... Disappointing, bad business, poor product.
In my opinion it was also misrepresenting advertising "Download and enjoy Android apps from your favorite sites" is a lie. You can only install a select few through the Slide ME marketplace (only a couple hundred). In small print on the back of the box "not connected to Android marketplace" ... I learned a lesson and will pay closer attention to avoid roped-in by silly marketing slubs that think they are clever. It also claims "Email and Web Access" but that is only possible through homepage google search window, then click on a result ... there is no navigation through URL window. Stale, cumbersome, slow.
I bought 3 to test before buying 1000ea for my business. Not a chance Pandigital, and I won't be back for other Pandigital "products" ... this wasted enough time, sloppy. -

by RockKnocker on November 28, 2011
Pros: Does everything I need it to do and more! Very easy to figure out, customer service was awesome! The website is very easy to navigate and they point you in the direction of any available updates to your tablet or eNovel
Cons: Does not have a free 3G option.
