Pros: Energy-efficient, spins down when not in use, absolutely silent, rock-solid metal case, good looks, great value.
Cons: Could be slow, if used as USB drive.

Summary: The user who complained about the speed perhaps doesn't appreciate that a terabyte doesn't exactly zip through a USB port. (I use it as a Time Machine destination, and although I don't much care how long it takes, it seems to take care of business within a minute or two.) Given the price, the capacity, and the minimal noise and power consumption, this is pretty much an ideal backup drive. The case is a seriously-sturdy metal enclosure, and the aluminum finish complements the iMac. I've had mine plugged in and on line for about a year, with zero problems. Like the Mac, it just works.
Pros: Inexpensive - can be found for under $100 Quiet Runs cool with no fan Has Fire Wire connection
Cons: If you plug into a low speed USB port transfers can take quite awhile

Summary: I have had the Green Drive for about a year with no problems. I have just about used up its 1 TB capacity and will probably buy a second one soon. I bought it after reading terrible reviews about Western Digital drives. (I own a 2 GB WD drive and have not experienced the problems other users report).
I wish my computer had a Fire Wire port so I could really put the Green Drive to its full capabilities. However, it performs admirably at USB 2.0 but very slowly at lower USB speeds.
It's certainly worth the price for the amount of storage.
Cons: Takes a loooong time to format. Also takes a ridiculously long time to back up - if I knew this I wouldn't have bought it. My other external hard drive backs up quickly and I don't even have a lot to back up! 60 GB
