Summary: The fusion of power and portability in this drive can't help but impress. USB 3.0 speed is incredible. The drive is backward compatible with USB 2 and can be used with any computer. I ended up buying an adapter for my three-year-old laptop, to take advantage of the higher speed with USB 3. The design and quality are excellent. Kudos to the manufacturer.

Summary: I bought this drive when my older hard drive has started running out of space. This time I decided to go for a bigger capacity. 2TB is more than enough for my needs today, but it goes very fast with photos and video. I've been using LaCie drives in the past and never had any issues with them, so this Porsche drive was an easy choice for me, especially considering its design.

It's supplied with backup and encryption software (both for PC and Mac OS). It looks awesome. No complaints about the performance. I highly recommend this drive for its design, speed, and overall quality.

The USB 3.0 is really faster than USB 2.0. This drive is very solid, comes with a good backup software and is password protected, which is all I look for in a drive.

Summary: I bought this because of the USB 3.0 interface, to backup my video projects. I have plenty of valuable files that I backup regularly, and I needed to optimize the time it takes. I have recently bought a new computer with USB 3.0, and it works great with this Porsche drive. I'm happy with the speeds, and with the overall performance. The drive is very well designed and much quieter than anything I have used in the past.

Summary: I'm a fan of Lacie drives. I've had a few of them, but this particular model is one of my preferred.The thick aluminium coating gives the entire enclosure a nice solid feeling and helps to dissipate heat without need for a fan so when running it stays quiet. It's a reasonable weight so it sits comfortably on my desk and I know it won't easily get knocked onto the ground.

Summary: I was looking for an external hard drive with large storage capacity that is easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install it and set it to automatically go into eco-mode after a certain time of inactivity. It's been four months now, and it works wonderfully. No problems whatsoever. Easy as expected.
