  Summary: I wanted a simple small television for a room where I also wanted to be able to occasionally plug my laptop into a bigger, external monitor. For only ?399 (US$479) this is hard to beat on price, and although modern technology can produce sharper lines, better colours, better sound and better looking design, the AOC was easily good enough to satisfy my needs.

  Excellent Bargain for a 20 inch LCD TV

  Pros: 800x600 Resolution under $500, 20"LCD monitor for PC, Very bright and sharp, Multitude of features and adjustments, PROS far outway any cons

  Summary: For $456 after tax and shipping from Costco.com, I purchased this TV. It has a beautiful semi-glossed screen that does an adequate job of deflecting glare. It's native resolution of 800x600 allows PC users to connect and have a clear, sharp screen. I've watched several DVDs while hooked up to my PC, and playback is excellent. The 16ms pixel response time allows for action scenes (Kill Bill was amazing) to run smoothly and video games (Halo 2 hooked up with HD component) also work great on this TV. Black levels are of course not as black as I would like them to be, but this is what I expected with an LCD. The remote has a convenient "PC" button that allows you to switch from TV to PC quickly and vise versa without having to go through Vid1, Vid2,Svid...etc. Also, if connected as a monitor, it will power on and off automatically with your computer while in PC mode! It has an Audio output connection and headset so I have it hooked up to my 300 watt stereo system (the TV's speakers don't have nearly the bass my 100 watt sub offers), and once connected sounds superb. The TV is light and is very portable, I bring it to friends' houses for system link Halo parties (everyone's always jealous). The status light glows soft orange while the TV is off, and while on the status light turns blue (which happens to match my stereo and HP pc lights). I think for the money, this TV is a steal since all the other TVs in this price range are only 600x480 resolution without any of the features on this Envision.
