The good: The attractive exterior design of the LG G2 series gives an inkling of LG's "back to the drawing board" approach this year. The hybrid Magic Remote with QWERTY is one of the best TV peripherals on the market. The passive 3D system creates significantly less crosstalk than its active competitors.
The bad: Picture quality suffers from poor black levels, desaturated colors, a glossy screen, and lack of uniformity. The Google TV interface isn't as easy to use as any other TV interface you'd care to name.
The bottom line: While it may sport high-end looks and a cutting-edge remote, LG's G2 series is a disappointing attempt at Google TV with ho-hum picture quality and a frustrating user experience.

I will go for G2 no matter how bad cnet review said.

Summary: I confess, I haven't got a G2 yet, but it's already in my wishlist for a long time. I have been searching information about this TV a lot. This site, the editor's review make me feel suspicious. After reading a few of LG TV reviews, I had my conclusion. Cnet's editors are definitely not a LG fan.
In the review video, he said the picture quality is a disappointment. All the shallow black level thing, blah blah just sounds not cool at all.
However in gadget review, it says "Because of the size of the display and the LG's inherent brightness, the loss of resolution that results from polarized 3D viewing wasn't onerous at all — in fact it looked highly detailed during my tests"
I am just a user-to-be. I wish other people like me can get the right information.3 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: I think LG and Google did it perfectly. Well, as the owner I do feel the benefits from both sides. I get passive 3D glasses, chrome browser and all google certified softwares. From the first min I got it to now, i think the only world I can describe it should be convenience.
The sound could be better though. It's better to hook up with the speakers, then the 3D sound zooming feature can be excuted thoroughly.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

First 3D-capable Google TV
by TechFlix on July 13, 2012
Pros: Google Apps, passive 3D, design
Cons: using the QWERTY remote at first can be a bit challenging but it's just like when we initially got our first smartphone and typed on its keyboard. And it does feel good in hand.

Aside from being the first, this has the best Internet and the best Google experience. It has everything except for one tiny detail. The keyboard included does not have backlight. But i can live with that.
I use Chrome Browser to check emails in my Gmail inbox, find the Greek restaurant closest to my place through Google Maps, and look for interesting articles and reviews by CNET editors. I'm surprised that almost all the things that I can do with my computer and smartphone can be also done with my TV.
For a TV way cheaper than the new 17" Macbook Pro, the extra buck that i spent on this piece of great innovation was all worth it. -

This TV feels just right for me. I'm so happy with it.

Pros: Vivid picture, great 3D, Easy installation of apps, and the brushed aluminum bezel
Cons: The remote will challenge you at first but will get used to after few days

When I first got my Android smartphone, installing apps directly from my laptop through the Play Store website was so easy. Well that same easy installation process basically applies to smart LG Google TVs.
It's a bit predictable that even if I have downloaded heaps of apps onto my smart TV, I still access the same content that I check on my smartphone and PC. Gmail and CNN are the 2 sites that I go to every morning. The convenience of checking my favorite sites on a big screen is one of the advantages of a smart TV.
And the brushed aluminum bezel makes me appreciate the TV more. Having a bit of a bezel visible is better for me than having a bezel-less TV like the new 3D TVs released by LG this year.
