LG 47LM7600 price range: $959.00 - $1,099.00

The good: The LG LM7600 series has very good overall picture quality, with deep black levels for an LED TV. The semimatte screen worked well in brighter rooms, and the 3D was virtually free of crosstalk. Blessed by a thin, tastefully black bezel, this is one of the most beautiful TV designs of the year. Its clever motion-control remote is used with a highly customizable menu system, and its Smart TV suite offers plenty of content. It ships with six pairs of passive 3D glasses.
The bad: The relatively expensive LM7600 evinced poor screen uniformity, with an obvious hot spot in the upper corner. Color was less accurate than that of many competitors. Its passive 3D showed occasional artifacts and moving lines.
The bottom line: If you've been holding out for an LED TV with picture quality that mostly lives up to its stunning design and cutting-edge features, the LM7600 series deserves a look.

Summary: I picked up this little beauty on Friday night and I have now had about 10 hours with it. I will say the picture out of the box was not hat great, but after tweaking it for a while and using the Picture Wizard I am very happy with what I have now.
For those that do not have a TruMotion option you will need to contact LG or whomever you purchased the set from and get a new one, as this option is available on my TV. Someone had mentioned that they already contacted LG support; I just wanted to confirm that the option is available on my LM7600.
I am coming from a 1080i TV, so the picture on this TV with my PS3 and the Blu-Ray disk of Casino Royale was more than I could ask for. The beginning of the movie has a ton of motion with swirling colors and a killer chase scene at a construction site. I saw no blur at all. It was smooth and flawless. I have watched this Blu-Ray many times on my other TV and all I can say is Wow. This was during the day and even with open window shades the reflection was minimal, from where I was sitting.
I was able to hook up to my network and view the content of all my devices. This includes a Windows Vista and Windows 7 PC and my EVO phone.
The online selection is vast and I was able to play with a few things. Google Earth looks awesome on this TV. I did not have the problems with Netflix that others are having but I am using a wired connection since I already had cable run for my PS3.
Someone mentioned that they saw flash lighting on the screen when they accessed the different apps, or changed the input source. I have that also but they go away right before the app or program starts, so it's not hurting my picture at all. I'm not sure why it does it but it does. During the blackest scenes I see no flash lighting at all.
The magic remote is what it is. I don't really have a problem with it except the arrow goes off the screen to fast for my liking and I am still looking for a setting to change that. So if you are reading something on the screen or trying to figure out which app to select if you don't move the remote for 5(?) seconds it goes off and you have to shake it again to get it back on. Other than that, I like it. Way easier to navigate around the menus than up up up, left left left left. Plus the scrolling wheel makes the navigation a breeze, especially when you are going through 1000's of pictures or music from your PC or phone.
The sound from the TV is fine for 10 watt tiny speakers. The sound bar helps a ton. I don't have a receiver that can handle the TV yet, so I was unable to try out surround and all that good stuff.
I was able to try out the 3D and it looks great. I really haven't tweaked the settings or played around with it much, but out of the box it looks good. And with the passive system you can actually lie down and watch it, try that all you active 3D people. Of course the glasses are light weight like the theater glasses and I didn't have any problems in the hour I was watching it. The 2D to 3D conversion seems to work well. I didn't see any ghosting or other anomalies while watching.
I was able to find the correct codes for my Xfinity (Comcast) remote control, so I can change the input source and move through all the TV settings without having to use the magic remote. Of course it is easier to navigate with the Magic Remote.
The sound bar does turn on and off with the TV, which is nice, but you can only control the volume with the remote that came with the bar. I have not tried to input the codes into my Comcast remote yet. On a side note the sound bar is blue tooth so I can stream music from my phone over it. Kinda cool.
I watched Hanna from the HD Cable source in the dark and I still couldn't see any flash lighting or problems with the set.
P.S., If you're will buy the LG, I suggest you have to check for best deal before you decide at: Ledlcdhdtvdeals.wordpress.com/lg-47lm7600/
For me this was a great purchase and I'm very happy with the set overall.4 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Best 3D I've ever seen!
by Nauticshadow on March 9, 2012
Pros: -Passive 3D doesn't cause eye strain
-It comes with 6 pair of glasses. The Glasses are the same ones that you get from going to the theater to see a 3D movie
-The Magic Remote is 100% accurate and easy to adjust when moving around the roomCons: -When hooked up to a PC you can see, especially on white backgrounds, very thin lines

Summary: I picked up the 47LM7600 last night at HH Gregg for $1550.00. I actually went there to get a Samsung that I've had my eye on for a few months. I asked the rep if they had any other 240hz TVs and me immediately took me to the LG. I was completely blown away. This is hands down the best 3d that I've seen, in home, ever! What was even more amazing to me was that the glasses were just like the Real 3D ones you get from going to a movie in the theater. So no recharging glasses and no paying 70$ for pairs sit right with me:) So far I've hooked up my PS3, Xbox 360, and PC to this TV and have been pretty happy with the outcome especially with the PS3. Uncharted 3 looks soooo much better in 3D! The smart TV function is really nice on here too. Hulu looks brilliant and so smooth with the 240hz refresh rate and same with the Netflix app. I was even more surprised with how easy it was to sync my Android phone up to this to view all my pics and videos. I would have to say that my fave part about this LG is the Magic Remote. Its like a Wiimote but 100% more accurate. Theres only a few buttons on it and it fits in the hand perfectly. All in all I'd have to say that this is one of the best TVs that I've owned and I'm and not at all an LG fanboy. My hearts always been with Samsung but...looks like LG is really stepping up their game!

Amazing picture, buggy Internet = no premium content.
by mleblanc9575 on August 16, 2012
Pros: Amazing picture. My wife said the picture was do good it looked like the characters were in the room with us. We had to adjust the picture a bit to make it look more like a TV and less like real life.
Cons: Internet failed even though it said it connected. No premium content because of this. Remote is a too flaky still - almost there, but they should have hired Wii to help them.
Summary: I'm sad I have to go through the hassle of returning this big puppy. I had high hopes but now I'm stuck with

The Internet was a bit slow in connecting, even with a wired connection. But it must have worked because firmware updated. But then every premium/Internet feature I tried failed (no connection to Internet). "Initialized premium" but it failed again. So sad! -
Smart TV? No way - This is a dumb TV!
by Poetscan on July 12, 2012
Pros: Good picture in a dark room, and 3D seems to work well with 3D DVDs.
Cons: Poor picture in daylight. Crashes when connected to ITunes and Netflix. Remote is a good idea badly executed, awkward to use. Problems connecting to wireless network, though other devices in the same room connect well. Badly designed menus.
Summary: Disgusted with this "smart" TV. Terrible to watch in daylight. It connected very poorly with my wireless network so have wired the connection. Now it does find some of my ...
Summary: Disgusted with this "smart" TV. Terrible to watch in daylight. It connected very poorly with my wireless network so have wired the connection. Now it does find some of my music, but tells me much of it is not in the correct format - though it plays other tracks from the same album without a problem. When playing music it plays a few tracks and then stops, reverting to the TV station sound. It crashes on every Netflix item I watch, part way through. I long for my old Samsung TV and Apple TV, both of which connected perfectly with my network and Netflix and never crashed. The Apple TV's menus were intuitive, unlike the badly thought out, ponderous menus on the LG. I think this is a very bad product. I hope they are planning a major upgrade to the software, and will fix the bugs that make playing music or connecting with services like Netflix spasmodic at best. A very disappointing product - not worth the money if you hope to watch TV in daylight, or connect to ITunes and Netflix.
