  For the money a wonderful feature packed display

  Pros: + Picture quality is wonderful
  + Colours are rich, motion is smooth and accurate and images are razor sharp
  + Sound quality is excellent
  + 3D glasses are solid and well built

  Cons: - No have for now

  Summary: After much deliberating and research I settled for this display after looking at Samsung LEDs and the Panasonic plasma units.
  
  Both the other alternatives were nice but for price>performance comparison, there was not a massive improvement for what is a massive difference in price. As you can see the LG is available for under a $1000 when both the alternatives are way over in regard to the D8000 Samsung and VT/GT30 Panasonic(in the GTs case you have to factor in 3D glasses which are quite pricey)
  
  Now down to performance....The LG is wonderful! Colours are rich, motion is smooth and accurate and images are razor sharp. My unit is used for movies, games and also doubles up as a PC monitor.
  
  I have had no serious issues with image retention, however I am very cautious when using it for the PC, with a screensaver coming on after a minutes inactivity. But if you follow the recommended run-in period you will not have any problems. As stated above it is used with my PS3 and there has been no ghosting or any retention that I can see.
  
  My only gripe with the screen is black levels which although good aren't as good as the Panasonic plasmas, which are inky black. However I can only compare with Panasonic display models in shops and I'm sure with some of their picture processing features turned off things may be a bit closer.
  
  The 3D glasses are solid and well built and as far as is possible to not hinder or interfere in the 3D experiences that I have had. 3D to 2D conversion is all but useless but when some proper 3D material is displayed there is very little crosstalk. However for the really picky punters out there I'm sure you will find some.
  
  Remember this unit has THX 3D certification as well as ISF calibration options which are not available on the Samsung and although the Panasonic have it they cost considerably more (If you are purchasing this TV I suggest you have to check for best deal at *********.info/LG-50PZ950 ).

  Highly Underrated TV. Excellent set and value!!

  Pros: Easy to calibrate with wizard for eye-pleasing pics!
  Colors on this TV is work of art.
  3D is very satisfying for entire family.
  Comfortable glasses and lightweight.
  Blacks Levels are satisfying.
  Nice variety of apps.
  Can use iPhone or other smartphone

  Cons: Only that you'll be hooked to set right away!

  Summary: Go on folks...read owners reviews on this set and you'll see why people love this TV. I own a 60" inch PZ950 and couldn't be happier! We watch 3D with family and glasses fit well on my 2 boy's faces with no eyestrain or fatigue or complaints of headaches unlike another brand that was LCD/LED 3D. Pictures are true to life and pleasing with no fluctuations, smooth motion blur and outstanding color uniformity. IMO, this tv gets a bad rap because blacks are not as deep as other plasmas but doesn't necessarily mean they are bad. Black is black and shadow details in them and grey areas are awesome.
  Overall, just a solid tv at an excellent value. Could have paid more for higher blacks, but would have compromised then true beauty of this sets picture quality.

  Consumer Reports opening line on their recent review ofnthis exact set..."This 60-inch 1080p 3D-capable plasma TV from LG--among the biggest 3D sets we've tested--delivers excellent overall picture quality." it also happened to rate higher than other very popular sets of other brands in this class.

  Summary: For the money I paid, as well comparing the equivalent Panasonic and Samsung models as "best" I could at the various local retailers, I don't believe I could have made a better choice. I am waiting (and waiting) for Panasonic to employ the Kuro tricks. Til then I could not be more satisfied with this set.
