Summary: It does have dual play and its awesome! Although you need to buy those glasses, which are kind of pricey, or go the movies and bring back a few of those 3D glasses (yes, they do work on this TV) and build your own dual play glasses for free. it has 4.8/5 stars at b3stbuy's website. i purchased it on black Friday and i have to say, it look AMAZING. 2D to 3D is just superb, hands down top notch. TV is not cheap ($1,799) at least not for me, but its well worth it. When you play video games there is a lag, but just put the TV on videogame mode and the lag "almost" disappears, very minimal, you can play first person shooters without even noticing. Passive 3d is excellent, i have not had a single headache from watching 3D movies or video for "extended" periods of time (thats what my wife calls it when im in the zone).
As for the apps, netflix is great help with the kids. hulu plus... well i just hate hulu plus, but its nice to know i have it there if i ever get it again. google maps works fine. youtube is alright, interface could be better, but it finds your videos. facebook... well you get the basics of facebook, nothing fancy. and so on with the other apps. what really brings value to this TV is the internet browser, it is flash compatible! which means you can watch regular videos from some websites, like hulu, youtube, dailymotion and others. facebook looks awesome on it and you can have access to some apps from facebooks. i am disappointed it doesn't have an app for pandora. skype is there, but unless you purchase a compatible camera for it, its useless.
i placed this TV in my living room with 4 windows right behind the sofa, which means plenty of light facing the TV, this doesn't matter since is an LCD, a plasma would have had problems with the reflexion. Colors a very bright and clear (and believe me it can get bright, i never use the full brightness because it hurts after a while), plenty of contrast if you need it (7,000,000:1). Rarely i notice some glare from my windows behind me but only when there is no picture on the screen. it has a sensor that you can enable and adjust for ambient light; during the day it keeps the TV bright and at night it dims it down so your eyes won't hurt.
it has both Wi-Fi and Ethernet build it. it has DLNA, but it doesn't support too many video formats, MKV and AVI are out!, so far i have been only lucky with wmv and mp4... disappointment. Pictures and music work fine thru DLNA. i haven tried intel wireless display, not entirely sure what it does, either watch you tv on your pc or your pc on your tv, one of those two.
one thing i do agree is on the remote, it sucks. i got myself a harmony universal remote and it works just fine. On the other hand it does have SIMPLINK, which allows you to manage your bluray with your tv remote. It's pretty cool actually, if i turn on my blu ray player, it turns on the TV and it automatically selects the right input. As audio goes, its ok, but i have found myself looking a soundbars several times at b3stbuy. 3d sound feature is ok, nothing fancy. You can get an app for your iphone and ipad to control your tv, this is actually cool if you can find your ipad, my kids always place them in odd places, you know what im talking about if you have kids.
Overall a great TV for these days and the days to come with plenty of tech built into it.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Best bang for your buck period!
by Bigpip05 on May 1, 2013
Pros: $3000 worth of picture for $1500. This thing is loaded. It's got all of the features of the LM7600 line in a 60 inch package.
Cons: This was a mid-year entry into the market. I'd like to see LG introduce excellent products like this at the beginning of the year - not a knock on the product though, but they lost a lot of market potential by only having a half a year to sell this
Summary: If you can find one still, jump on it.

I will NEVER buy another LG product!
by ertem0 on March 26, 2013
Pros: Good picture, OK phaser style remote.
Cons: LG's so called Smart TV's serve up ads on their home screen. Absolutely not acceptable. If I wanted advertising on my TV screen I would be watching broadcast TV - I don't. Does not have Amazon VOD either. Very orry I bought it, too late to return!
Summary: Bought it before Christmas, and was happy with it. Used it only for three things, over-the-air PBS, Netflix, and mainly as an RGB monitor to watch online streams from laptop. ...
Summary: Bought it before Christmas, and was happy with it. Used it only for three things, over-the-air PBS, Netflix, and mainly as an RGB monitor to watch online streams from laptop. I just do not watch any media that has advertising - PBS supporters excepted. (Hint, if you want my eyeballs, give money to PBS.)
Anyway, the last place I expect to see ads is in the control panel of my own friggin TV set. I noticed the other day that when I went to the devices 'Home' screen, it told me about the dollar menu at McDonald's. This is the screen where you setup the TV, control it, go to Netflix, etc. I looked for a setting to block all that crapola. There is none. I contacted LG, the following are statements from three responses LG had:
First response:
"Kindly check the TV mode settings if it is set to Home Use. It should be in Home Use instead of Store Demo."
[Has nothing to do with it... Diversion]
Second response:
"Based on our resources, it is normal for you to see those advertisements as long as you are connected to the internet. The reason behind is that for you consumers will be aware for some promotions of LG."
[This is when I asked how they expected Netflix to work without internet. I also said I was paying for any bandwidth they were using and would charge them $1 per byte transferred. I also offered to block the IP's on my router if they provided the info.]
Third response:
"Actually, it will not affect your bandwidth and you may only see the advertisements when you are in Home screen and when you are connected to the internet. We are not controlling the advertisement, it is just a way of us to let you know our promotions.
Regarding you question about the ports from your router, it is beyond our scope but; you may call your Internet Service Provider or the manufacturer of your router for further assistance.
On the other hand, I can also raise your concern to our department in charge so they can take it in consideration for future updates to the website."
[Totally clueless! They even broke Shannon's law with the 'it will not affect your bandwidth' BS.]
So the solution now is going to involve getting out the packet sniffer and blocking the IP's that serve those ads. It will probably take a couple of hours of my time. The parallel step will be filing complaints with the FTC / FCC for unauthorized access to my equipment (The TV and networking equipment) and a Small Claims suit. Hope someone does a class action on this as well.
Therefore, no more LG products, ever! (I said the same about Sony when rootkit happened, haven't bought anything from them since - not even CD's.)
As an aside, I was about to order a Nexus 4, but LG makes those too, and I am so pissed at them I will get a Samsung Galaxy Nexus instead. And I wish I had bought a refrigerator made by someone else as well... :-) :-)
Anyway, LG has lost all credibility with me, just because of a damn Egg McMuffin ad!0 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.
