The good: The Panasonic DT50 series performs moderately well in 3D with less crosstalk than some rivals. The onboard wireless and full complement of video services will please Smart TV fans. The thin bezel and metallic finish is distinctive if a bit retro.
The bad: This TV's picture quality is below average, especially considering the high price. Black levels are some of the lightest we've ever seen and shadow detail is washed out. Colors are inaccurate and undersaturated, the screen reflects too much ambient light, and uniformity is poor.
The bottom line: Panasonic's DT50 series of LED TVs is among the worst we've seen this year, and can't hold a candle to the company's plasmas.

Pros: This is an easy smart TV well worth the going xmas prices.
Easy to use right out of the box, set itself/hooked up to all my thearter equipment (Sony and Samsung) on its own. Simple remote with Backlight. Picture blows away my 2 Samsung LCD's

Summary: This item should have a fairer review. If you look for failure you will find such. The comparison with a plasma is equivalent of an apple to an orange. It is why plasmas still have a strong niche in the tv market. A number of us have found this May review to have bias this product with subsequently reviewed by others. The picture is one of the sharpest. Its smart connects are simple and elequent. The internet works well, it could have also have had the touch pad remote like the WT50 model. As an owner of the model, I suggest that persons interested in this model check current user reviews who have actually purchase this model and are not going off other earlier reviews or problems with shipping from retailers. Filter those out and you will find this TV holds up to the rest dispite the initial jaded reviews.
