Although CNET did not review the 40-inch Samsung LN40A450, we did review the 32-inch Samsung LN32A450. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Samsung LCD HDTVs are essentially identical but for screen size, so we expect the picture quality of the 32-inch model to provide a good indication of how the 40-inche model will perform. For more information, refer to the full review of the Samsung LN32A450.

Very satisfied with this purchase. Paid $949, and it was well worth it. Initially thought I would be unhappy with 720, but not at all. Picture is great, lots of connections. Built in audio is poor (at least I can't get it to sound good), but I am running it through a surround sound system, so it really doesn't matter.

This is the best LCD on the market under $1,000. It has the 40" size and the quality of Samsung. 1080 sources look great on this 720p set. HDTV looks great over-air. SD looks good, too. You won't go wrong with this purchase.
