Summary: I did a lot of research and a few trips to the store before buying this one. But I have to agree with the folks who bought this as the "cheap 2nd TV" and found its image quality better than their "1st TV" costing a $1000- MORE ... you cannot buy a better TV image for under $1000. And I bought mine for under $550.
Settings are easy to navigate.
RESET of settings is easy to find (if the kids get the remote).
It comes up at only 45% brightness, presumably for the plasma break-in.
But its a solid value if you're looking for a good TV/video-monitor and don't want to pay for all the "extras" such as Internet, WiFi, BlueTooth, etc. (which you can get in a Samsung BluRay player for cheap)
And its not 3D .. the 550 line is 3D, the 450 line is the hi-end 2D image without the additional bells-and-whistles. Which was exactly what I was looking for!1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: I just wanted to let those looking at this that the information on the site is not correct. First, the TV is 51 inches, as is indicated by the model number PN51D450. Also I am almost positive that it is NOT 3D! And unless all other sites and stores that I have looked at this tv at are wrong, there are only 2HDMI inputs. These are just a few of the things that I noticed. I'm looking to buy a 50" or so tv and have seen it in multiple different stores and websites. It has a great picture and I just want those that are considering a new tv to have the right info.

Summary: I love plasma screen TVs, and i believe they are the best for my PS3. I have my PS3 hooked up to it and i can watch 3D movies and games and the picture looks amazing even being a 720P. I don't know why someone said it was 51 inches and non 3D, it is a 3D tv and only 46 inches. The TV is really a great deal. I bought it at Best Buy and the worker though he should buy one because it was one of the greatest deals he had ever seen. (the tv was no located in the store, it had to be ordered and brought in). The size is great, the 3D is really cool too!!! I always wanted to have a 3D tv but didn't want to pay 1000s of dollars being that i am only in college. This tv allows me to have the best of both worlds.

Dont be scared away bc this tv isnot 1080P. This Plasma @ 720P has better picture than my Vizio LCD @ 1080P. Plasma is in a different world from LCD and LED, they just cant compare. Great Price. Pros: price is good for the size, image qualiti is not bad [but worse than my older panny]
Cons: this set has really huge brightness fluctuation problems !!!
